Story
Jordy is a 2.5-year-old, 60-pound German Shorthaired Pointer/Pittie mix looking for his forever family. This handsome boy is house trained, kennel trained, and has also done well being left unkenneled in the house while his people are away. (We always recommend starting with a kennel in a new environment until everyone gets into a routine.) Jordy does great with small dogs but would be best in a home without bigger dogs. He has done just fine with cats that are accustomed to living with dogs! He would likely do well with older children (13+ years) who can help him burn off some of his energy. A happy, friendly guy, Jordy enjoys fetch and loves to snuggle up for naps when playtime is over. He’s very food-motivated and is currently working on his leash manners. This handsome boy would make a great walking buddy. Because he’s a fast eater, he does best with a slow feeder bowl. A fenced yard (preferably 6 ft privacy fence) would be ideal. Jordy is a sweet doggo who is ready for a family that can give him the fun and love he deserves. With the right home, he’ll be an incredible companion and a joyful addition to the family. If you think your home would be a good fit for him, apply to meet / adopt Jordy at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application or email muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com with any inquiries. Jordy, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $75. He does not have any special needs or take any medications.

Topaz aka DobyMeet our goofball with amazing ears! This active guy is very shy and nervous when meeting new people and in new situations. He needs a patient family but once you gain his trust he will be your best side kick. He weighes in at 55lbs of pure muscle and love. Topaz enjoys playing but after he wears himself out he insists on being cuddled. His talents include paw dexterity, fetching tennis balls, sprinting, chewing up dog bones and hiding them, and has the most amazing bounce you have ever seen. If you ever have mice that try to break in he will defend you with his life, he is great at tracking them down. He does great in the crate when sleeping and is potty trained. Topaz absolutely loves kids and other dogs but loves cats a little too much! We believe he is a german shorthair pointer/pointer cattle dog mix born near the second week of July 2023. His fun personality is sure to bring you a lifetime of laughter!  ##1819863##

Story
Meet Hank!   Hank is a handsome boy with a heart as big as his zoomies! This lovable guy truly just wants to please his people. He’s a little goofy, a lot charming, and always ready to brighten your day with his happy personality. Hank may still be polishing up a few manners, but he’s making wonderful progress with positive reinforcement and a little structure — he’s a smart boy who’s eager to learn!   Hank enjoys lounging around the house like a pro, but regular exercise is a must for this energetic guy. He absolutely loves to run and play with his humans, especially if there’s space to stretch those legs! While he loves dog toys, most toys don’t stand a chance. He’s not much of a kisser, but he makes up for it by being an expert cuddler and he will take all the belly rubs he can get.    This sweet boy is crate trained, potty trained, and doggy-door trained — he’s got most of the house rules down! Hank gets so excited when meeting new people because, in his world, there are no strangers — only friends he hasn’t met yet. He’s gentle with kids, loves car rides, and would happily tag along on any adventure. He gets along well with other dogs. Cats are still a question mark, but with his easygoing nature, he’d likely adjust just fine.   If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling and moving, Hank might just be your perfect match. ##2481004##

Story
This sweet boy is Bruno! He is an approximately 4-year old Pointer/Cattle Dog mix who weighs around 50 lbs. Bruno was adopted as a puppy but returned at 10 months old. The family felt he was too much energy for an apartment and that he needed a home with more time for him and a yard. Bruno is an fun loving goofy dog with plenty of playful energy. He absolutely loves to play and go for walks. He will need a yard and an active family who can spend time with him and give him daily exercise. He also really needs a family who will give him mental stimulation as well such a food puzzles, snuffle matts, and teaching him new tricks. He is a really smart dog and his main issue in his old home is just lack of time spent with him. He spent too much time in a crate and not enough time getting to run and use his brain. If you are looking for a fun dog to spend your time with, Bruno is your dog. If you are looking for a walking or running companion, Bruno is your dog. If your energetic dog needs an energetic friend, Bruno is your dog. Bruno is crate, leash, and house trained. He is good with most other dogs and has played in small groups at a daycare, but can be selective. Due to his energy, I wouldn't put him with young children but children 8 and up would be great for him. He has lived with children in the past and was fine. Bruno needs a stockade fenced backyard and to meet all dogs in the household before adoption. Bruno is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $250. If you would like to adopt Bruno and make him a part of your family, please apply at FYDRadopt.com. Bruno is in a boarding situation at this time so he qualifies as a foster-to-adopt or as just a foster. If you are interested in fostering Bruno, please complete our foster application at www.foreveryoursokc.org/foster-application.

Story
This cute guy is Jody! Jody is an approximately 3-year-old male English Pointer/Pit Bull mix and weighs around 52 lbs. Rescued after his owner left him, and his friend Jude, tied to a tree. Jody is the definition of laid-back and loving. This sweet boy is happiest stretched out on the couch, soaking up attention, and reminding you that slow days are the best days. 🛋️💕 ❤️ Adopt Option: Make Jody your forever snuggle buddy! Jody lives for affection — pets, scratches, and being close to his people are his absolute favorite things. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to lean in, follow you from room to room, and be your constant companion, Jody is your boy. He prefers a calm pace and cozy routine and is perfectly content relaxing at home. Jody brings a peaceful, comforting presence and would thrive in a home that enjoys quiet moments and lots of together time. Jody does better with female dogs in the home than male. When it comes to meals, Jody does best being fed separately as he's still learning that food will be consistent after his past experiences. With routine, reassurance, and calm, predictable mealtimes, she continues to make progress. ✨ Jody at a Glance: 🐾 Low-energy, easygoing 🐾 Extremely affectionate 🐾 Loves couch time and closeness 🐾 Thrives with routine and calm structure If your ideal companion is one who wants nothing more than to be loved, snuggled, and included in your day, Jody is ready to settle in right beside you. 🤍🐾 Jody will need assistance with house & crate training since he has lived outside his whole life. He says he really likes this being inside a home thing! He needs a secure fenced yard and home check required. Jody is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. To adopt Jody, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.
