Story
Meet Lena! Lena is a one year old, purebred German Shorthair Pointer. Her owner could no longer care for her and decided it was best if she found a home that could give her the love and attention she deserved.    Lena is very friendly and wants to be loved and cuddled. She loves children and people so much. She is also great with dogs. She will chase cats, which is typical for the hunting breeds.   Although she was never trained to hunt, she is not gun shy. She locks on point with birds and squirrels. She does pretty well with sit, lay and stay if she is not wound up or has the zoomies.   German Shorthair pointers are easily trainable. If you are not familiar with the breed, do your research first. They are in the Sporting Dog category and were bred to hunt. They require a lot of exercise, so if you're in need of a running partner she may be the perfect fit!   All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. Please fill out an application if you are interested in this dog or call us today for more information     Because we are an all-volunteer organization, please call ahead to schedule a time for a Meet & Greet so we can ensure a dog handler is available to show you the dog or dogs you are interested in.     Pet Adoption League  1526 N. Story
Koda is a loving, loyal, and incredibly smart dog ready to find his perfect match. He’s gentle in the home, very affectionate, and loves cuddling up with blankets and pillows. Koda is fully house-trained, knows many commands, and can be left alone responsibly without being crated. He’s not aggressive; his one bite incident was fear-based, not ongoing aggression. Koda just needs calm handling and patience when he feels unsure. Once he trusts you, he’s affectionate, goofy, and devoted. Koda enjoys playing outside, lounging on the couch, and being part of daily life with his people. He’d do best in a home with older, respectful kids and no other pets or only calm, mature dogs (he gets along with some but is stressed by energetic dogs). Because of his sensitive nature, Koda will thrive with someone who understands anxious dogs and can offer a stable, peaceful home. We are heartbroken to rehome him but know he deserves happiness.

Story
HI - I'M GOOSE! I'm a young (1-2) black lab-flat coat retriever-shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home! (Shelter says I'm 3 but I act like a 1-year-old puppy even in the way I walk.) I was rescued from a crowded California shelter along with my brother Rooster, a flat-coat retriever, who also needs a home. We do not have to be adopted together. I am good with other dogs and a lovebug with people. I'm basically a happy boy who would love my own home where I can be walked, petted, taken on outings or road trips and given the love and attention I so deserve. I weigh about 50-55 lbs. I'm currently still in California, but can be transported to you in Idaho or Oregon. Please email for an application.
