There must have been a time when se was loved. You can see it in the way she sits so politely. The way she watches your face for direction. The way she understands "sit" and gentle correction. The way she knows a treat and how to earn it. And the way she adores cuddling! We're pretty sure she didn't end up being abandoned because she wasn't good enough. We wish we knew the story, but all we know is she was homeless and all the searching did not turn up her family! But here's what matters now- she is incredibly smart, she is house trained. She bonds quickly with her people. She has clearly lived in a home before. And she is waiting for that feeling again! If you have room in your home- and your heart- she is ready to give you everything she has! Penny is people focused, has a good energy level that a family offering mental stimulation and fun can easily offer her. Go hiking, go jogging....take her with you camping! She displays super loyal bonding with her person traits. Penny is stunning- athletic and lean. She has a very confident personality and would do best with a dog that is not dominant. We don't know if she's lived with other dogs, but she has successfully been with them where she was initially found. Located in New Jersey- come meet Penny and see if she's the dog for you!!

Buck came in as an owner surrender. Her senior owner can no longer take care of him due to illness. he is missing both his human and his litter mate who was hit by a car and unfortunately didn`t survive. Hes been very sweet ever since arriving here at the shelter. From what we have been told Buck is housebroken but did have free access to the outside. He and his brother spent their days exploring the owner`s large property and hanging with their owner. He takes treats very politely and is friendly to every one he meets. He does chase cats and hasn`t lived with kids before but has been visited by them. Come give this boy a second chance at a loving home.

Aurora is a wonderful & thoughtful beautiful mother. Her litter of pups are about 9weeks old. Luckily Aurora & her pups have been well cared for in a foster home in Puerto. They will be in Pennington, NJ at the end of April. Aurora is a little shy & needs some time & patience before she will feel comfortable. This girl will become your best dog ever with gentle, firm kindness, love, and clear guidance. All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl. Initial contact with us must be made through e-mail. E-mail ARFofMercer@gmail.com directly for an adoption application or with any questions. Once your adoption application is approved, you will be invited to meet our dogs/puppies.
