Story
Meet Gunner, the dog everyone is going to ask you about. 🧡 With his striking red-speckled coat, expressive ears, and movie-star looks, Gunner has a way of turning heads everywhere he goes. Don't be surprised if strangers stop to ask what breed he is! (They already do!) But Gunner is much more than a handsome face. He's an incredibly smart, playful boy who loves keeping both his body and his brain busy. Puzzle toys, treat games, squeaky toys...if it challenges him or makes him think, he's all in. At the adoption center, he'll even turn his food bowl into a toy when he's looking for something fun to do. Gunner came to us after spending many months waiting in a municipal shelter. We were sure a dog this handsome would be adopted right away, but somehow he was overlooked. Since joining Lifeline, he's settled beautifully into a routine and continues to show us what a wonderful companion he can be. He enjoys playing with other dogs and has formed a sweet friendship with another dog at the center, Albus. They even play together through their kennel doors. He walks well on leash with a confident handler, rides nicely in the car, knows basic commands, and is eager to learn even more. At around four years old, Gunner has the best of both worlds. He's left the wild puppy stage behind but still has plenty of youthful energy for walks, adventures, games, and whatever fun you have planned. If you're looking for a smart, athletic best friend who will keep you smiling (and probably earn compliments everywhere you go), Gunner may be exactly who you've been waiting for. Hawkeye is the sweetest boy. He was a rescue we were able to save. We have started a new family business and we have not been able to give him the love and attention he deserves. He is house trained and knows lots of commands. He is super friendly as well!

Story
Name: Moose Age: 6 years old DOB: March 26, 2020 We recently moved into a smaller home with a tiny yard. We are unable to give him the full attention he deserves due to packed work schedules. We’ve had him since he was old enough to leave his mom and ever since some of the family members have been dealing with bad allergies from him. He’s scared of thunder and fireworks. He likes to hold onto your arm for hugs when you pet him. He’s a really good dog! Unfortunately he has gotten loose from our house and was picked up by the pound. We searched for him for hours and was unable to find him. The pound found him the next morning and I know he was scared. He gave a little nip. I have to disclose this. I know he was scared. Never in the 6 years we’ve had him has he ever done anything like this to any of us. Please do not let this push you away from considering taking him in. He’s very sweet and loving!

Story
We call her Ewe-nice because she is much like a black lamb! She is bashful at first- and almost army crawls on her way to snuggle next to you :). If you want a dark shadow to follow you in the nicest way- Ewenice is your girl! She has the deepest most soulful chocolate brown eyes- and stares at you sweetly until you give her attention. Ewenice actually presses herself into her kennel gate to get close to strangers- and is always- and we mean always- swinging her tail back and forth. If you want a gentle dog that will love you more than you love her- please come by and take a look at this black lamb. :) Hello there the adoption fee is $20.00 CASH OR CHECK it is low as we do not spay/neuter our animals or vaccinate as we do not have a vet on site. Upon adoption you would sign a legal contract stating that within sixty days you will get them sterilized and vaccinated per state requirement. Sometimes due to age or complications the 60 day window can be extended however only by a vets discretion. Your contract is not fulfilled and your adoption of the pet cannot be successfully closed until proof of sterilization and vaccination is provided to us from the adopter. You may come to the shelter any day of the week between 8 am and 4:30 pm, just please give us a call beforehand to let us know you are coming at 281 291 5644. Thank you!
