Story
Betty is a gentle, soulful pup whose journey tells a story of resilience and hope. Rescued from a critical situation at a shelter, Betty has safely emerged from a difficult past and is now ready to blossom in a permanent, understanding home. Her expressive eyes and tender demeanor reveal a sweet and sensitive nature eager to trust and love again.??She is a wonderfully balanced companion, possessing a moderate energy level that makes her equally suited for a playful game in the yard or a quiet afternoon curled up on the couch. Betty has mastered all the essentials for a seamless transition into a home, as she is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and walks politely on a leash. She has shown herself to be good with other dogs and communicates her devotion through physical affection, often seeking out pets and a warm lap to occupy.??Betty is deaf, a trait that has honed her intelligence and made her exceptionally attentive to visual cues and the gentle touch of her person. This also means she thrives in a calm, structured environment. Her history indicates she is not suited for a home with young children, as sudden movements can startle her, but she would likely flourish with dog-savvy teenagers or adults. Her potential with cats is currently unknown.??This clever and deeply affectionate dog is searching for a committed adopter who can provide the patient, peaceful, and loving forever home she has so patiently waited for. In return, Betty offers an unbreakable bond and the silent, steadfast companionship of a truly grateful heart.??Betty is located in Houston, Texas. Transport available to most states for an additional $300.

Story
Meet Goose, a young, energetic, and smart dog full of life and love. Goose is the epitome of a sweet, cuddly, friendly companion, always curious and ready to play. Her playful antics are sure to bring laughter and joy to any home. However, Goose is also a bit excitable, jumpy, and quite loud; she`s a bundle of energy that will need some training to help her become the best dog she can be. She also needs guidance with house training and leash walking. Despite her noisiness and neediness, Goose`s affectionate nature makes her the perfect 26-pound lap dog for those who enjoy close companionship. She knows the sit, no, and off commands and her favorite activities are car rides, tugging, toys, and wrestling. Goose is the epitome of a social butterfly and is friendly and playful with dogs and cats but a bit rough. She has no experience with children. She was given up because her owners didn`t have enough time for her. Adopt Goose today and fill your life with boundless affection and fun! (tw 12/17/2025)

Story
🐾 Meet Teddy 🐾 ~1 year old | Male | 28 lbs | Tripod Survivor Teddy’s journey is nothing short of remarkable. He came to us after suffering a gunshot wound to his left front leg, resulting in catastrophic injury. Due to the severity of the damage, amputation was the most humane and life-saving option, and Teddy underwent surgery on 11/19. He is now recovering beautifully and learning to navigate the world on three legs like a champ. Despite everything he’s endured, Teddy remains a sweet, resilient young dog with so much love to give. He has shown incredible strength, adaptability, and a gentle spirit throughout his recovery. At just about 1 year old, he still has his whole life ahead of him and being a tripod won’t slow him down. Teddy is currently classified as a medical rescue, and his records (including follow-up care) are available for review. He will need to be spayed/neutered prior to adoption, in accordance with Texas Health & Safety Code §828.003. If you’re looking for a brave, loving companion who has already overcome more than most dogs ever will, Teddy may be the one for you. He’s a survivor and now he’s ready for a fresh start in a forever home. 💙 Questions? Email: info@lifelinetx.org Local Adoptions Are Welcome!
