Story
Milo is a 2-year-old, 10-pound black and white Pomeranian with a big personality and a lot of energy to match. He’s a handsome, active little guy who thrives on attention and loves being close to his person. Milo was surrendered to rescue because his previous owner worked full time and couldn’t keep up with his energy level. He does best when he has plenty of interaction, activity, and structure throughout the day. He is very people-focused and enjoys cuddling on the couch once he’s had a chance to burn off some energy. He gets along with other dogs, though he’s still figuring out how to play appropriately. When he gets excited or anxious, he can bark and pace in circles, which can be confusing for other dogs. He has recently started on Prozac to help manage his anxiety, and we are already working on helping him feel more relaxed and settled. Milo is very food motivated, loves treats, and will benefit from continued guidance, routine, and positive outlets for both his physical and mental energy. With the right home, he has a wonderful, loving personality that really shines. Milo is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and he is heartworm negative and current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Milo is located in Santa Fe, TX, and his adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Salem is a 1-year-old, 6-pound black Pomeranian with the prettiest little face and a tiny white patch on her chest that makes her extra special. She’s a dainty, soft-natured girl who takes a minute to figure things out, but once she does, she settles in and becomes a very sweet little companion. She can be a bit shy at first, but give her a few days and she warms up beautifully. Once she’s comfortable, she enjoys being near her people and quietly following along with whatever you’re doing. She has a gentle, easy presence and fits in nicely without being overwhelming. Salem gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids. She’s currently learning how to walk on a harness and leash and is making progress with patience and consistency. She uses potty pads right now and will need continued guidance with potty training as she adjusts to a new home. Salem has a Grade 3 luxating patella on her left knee, while her right knee is normal. At this time, it is not causing her significant issues, but it will be important for her adopter to monitor and work with their veterinarian on any future needs. She’s a calm, observant little dog who just needs a bit of time and a steady routine to fully come into her own. With the right home, she will continue to build confidence and become a very loyal companion. Salem is fully vetted, including a full exam, spay, vaccinations, microchip, deworming, and she is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Salem is located in Austin, TX, and her adoption fee is $850. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com
