Story
Meet Mildred Breed: Pomeranian/ Shih Tsu Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Age: Senior Weight: 20 lbs Nickname: Midge Fun fact: Silly girl likes to pile all her toys on her dog bed and have her foster mom take them all on a ride :) Foster home: Green Bay, WI Activity level: Moderate Friendly with: Dogs, cats, kids Sleep style: Sleeps in crate with door open but would also enjoy sleeping next to her people Meals: Kibble with a canned food topper Meds: Thyroid meds, $10 a month Snore-o-meter: 1/10 Bark-o-meter: 3/10, barks when someone is at the door Shedding meter: 6/10 (she was shaved down, but will shed and need to be brushed regularly) Fashion: The couch potato would love to be in a cozy hoodie Walk out song: Walking On Sunshine - Katrina And The Waves Favorite color: Red, makes her fur pop! Favorite activity: Going on adventures where treats are served :) Favorite season: Fall, so many leaf piles, so little time Best feature: Her smile Personality: Playful, happy, car tride queen, great mix of couch potato and social butterfly, loves to join on adventures Spayed ✅ Microchipped ✅ Housebroken ✅ Loves to join on adventures ✅ Crate trained ✅ UTD on vaccinations ✅ UTD on preventatives ✅ Mildred (aka Midge) joined Albert’s after her human passed away. She’s a happy and resilient pup who loves to be near her people (on the couch or on an adventure, she’s happy either way!). Midge has done well with other laid back dogs who don’t try to take her toys, but would also be happy to be a solo pup. She is a loyal gal and may initially be vocal when left alone, but settles quickly and is always forgiving once you return :) Midge is working on her 2026 goals early and prioritizing her health. She’s been hitting her step goals, eating healthy meals and even scheduled a dental cleaning for early January (covered by ADL). This sweet pup is ready for her happily ever after! Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair).
