Story
Lilo (A140931) is a 3-year-old AK Husky x Pointer mix who weighed 50 pounds on intake!01/22/26 These eager-to-go pups were surrendered to the shelter because their owner is facing some medical concerns and is unable to provide them with the lifestyle they need. They are working dogs and were said to be wonderful sled dogs! All these pups were stated to get along well with other dogs and are great pullers. They are accustomed to living out on a dog house but were said to have enjoyed coming inside during that super cold snap. However, they are not housebroken, and if you do plan on transitioning them to indoors, they will need help adjusting to indoor living â&#194&#128&#194&#147 potty training, kennel training, basic commands, etc. They know mushing commands but that is about it. They would love to join a rec team or even to become your adventure buddy if you live an active lifestyle â&#194&#128&#194&#147 skijoring, bikejoring, or even becoming your hiking buddy! Anything to keep them both mentally and physically stimulated so they stay out of trouble! If you are interested in meeting any of this crew or possibly the whole gang, please let us know! Story
Bentley (A141082) is a 7-month-old AK Husky x Lab mix who weighed 55 pounds on intake! 02/05/26 This happy, active boy is Bentley! Bentley was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own, but because the child in the home was allergic to him. With that being said, his surrendering owner had fabulous things to say about him! Bentley was said to do great with babies, children, and strangers! He also has historically done well with other dogs and even cats! It is important that you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new animals so he continues to have positive interactions. Bentley was stated to be kennel-trained, housebroken, rides well in a car, and knows quite a few commands! He is a high-energy breed, so it is important that he continues to receive plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep him out of trouble. Bentley was known to jump fences and to be a digger. He should always be supervised when in a fenced-in yard and kept on a leash for outdoor adventures. If you are interested in meeting Bentley, please let us know! February 7, 2026, 3:05 pm

Story
Ginny (A140722) is a 6-year-old AK Husky x GSD mix who weighed 58.4 pounds on intake! 12/29/25 This fun-loving team was surrendered to the shelter and is looking for homes that can keep them active and running! Ginny is a hyper boy who loves to run, jumps, and give kisses! However, it was noted that he can be a bit of a stinker getting his harness on and makes a game out of it. These boys are brothers and were stated to be AK Husky and German Shepherd mixes with a smidge of pitty mixed in. They are used to living outdoors on dog houses but have been enjoying the warmth of our inside kennels during this cold snap! They were said to love curling up in their straw when outdoors and coming inside to cozy up next to the fireplace. When they can not get out for a run on the sled, they were said to love playing with each other in a fenced-in yard or going on long walks through the woods! They would love to join someoneâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s rec team or a home that can keep them active and stimulated! If you are interested in meeting Ginny or any of his brothers/teammates, please let us know! February 9, 2026, 9:09 pm
