Story
Sasha (A126960) is a 7-year-old AK Husky x Lab mix who weighed 82.9 pounds on intake!05/02/24 Sweet, sassy Sasha is back at the shelter and eager to find her new home! She was surrendered back to the shelter because she was defecating inside the home. She was previously said to be housebroken, so she may need a consistent routine and more frequent potty breaks to help break this cycle. Her prior owner also felt that Sasha would be more comfortable in a calmer home setting as she wasnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t very receptive to the toddler in the home. Sasha was described as loving towards adults and a very sweet girl. She was known to be vocal at times which is really her husky personality shining through! Sasha was also said to bark at other dogs but had no experience with smaller critters in this past home. Please ensure you are doing slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new people and animal friends! Sasha is very overweight and would highly benefit from going on a diet. We encourage her next owner to reach out to their vet on ways to help her shed those extra pounds! If you are interested in meeting Sasha, please let us know! 11/22/23 Sasha and her friend Jada were surrendered to the shelter and are now looking for their perfect new places to call home! Sasha and Jada were both said to do great with people of all ages including babies and children! At the shelter, these girls have been very friendly toward the care staff! Sasha and Jada were also said to do well with other dogs and cats. Please ensure you are doing appropriate introductions with all new friends! Both Sasha and Jada were said to be kennel trained, housebroken, and to ride well in car. These girls also know a few basic commands but may benefit from attending a basic obedience class to continue working on their manners. They do have a couple of naughty habits like getting into the trash and jumping on people. If you are interested in meeting Sasha or Jada, please let us know!May 17, 2024, 11:56 pm

Story
Jake (A134609) is a 5-year-old Siberian Husky who weighed just under 40 pounds on intake! 05/15/24 This handsome pup is Jake! Jake was surrendered to the shelter because his prior owner felt they were not home enough to give him the attention and love he deserved. Jake was described as a calm husky. He was said to enjoy lounging on the couch! His prior owner stated that he does great with adults and tolerates kiddos but may prefer a kid-free home. He was also said to do well with other dogs but had limited patience for the high-energy puppy in the home. He has no history with cats, pocket pets, or livestock. Please ensure you are doing appropriate introductions with all new animals. Jake was said to be kennel trained, housebroken, and to know the basic command of sit. Story
Chewy would love a new companion(s) who can give him a forever home. I am a rescue dog from an Alaskan village and I love with my heart and soul! I have great manners, like staying out of the kitchen, off the bed and the furniture. I don't bite, bark, growl, jump or destroy belongings. I am very clean and independent as well as self sufficient in case you have a doggie door for me to use. I am very good at relaxing or soaking up the sun out in the yard. I sleep thru the night and will indicate when I am ready to go outside, either to do my business or take a stroll. I can do a leash and a harness, or go without, if allowed to explore. I have never tried to skijor or bikejor, but I have a sweet spirit and enjoy being outside while playful and energetic, I sometime have selective hearing, so I would benefit from some basic training. Regardless I am an easy keeper who is soft and loves to cuddle! I ride easy in the car and will be a loyal and affectionate companion.
