Story
Hi everyone, I’m Wolfie, and here’s a little about me: Breed: Husky/Border Collie MixAge: 7 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 25 kgCountry of origin: LebanonHighlights: Loyal, calm, affectionate, protective I’m a gentle soul who’s been through a lot, but love has always kept me going. Especially the love I share with my best friend, Kendi. For years, I wandered the harsh streets of Beirut, never alone Kendi was always by my side. We explored together, tried to survive together, and protected each other like family. Sadly, not everyone was happy to see us. People threw rocks at us and made it clear we weren’t welcome. One day, a man threatened to poison us pretending it was for rats, but we knew what he meant. Our rescuer didn’t wait. Fearing for our lives, he rushed to save us and brought us to his home. But his indoor dog doesn’t like other dogs, so Kendi and I now live outside on the terrace and in the garden. It’s safe, but not a real home — especially with winter coming. I’m calm and independent but deeply affectionate. I adore gentle cuddles and time with kind humans. When I was first rescued, I barked at men perhaps because of past abuse but I’ve come a long way and learned to trust again. I can be a bit selective with other dogs, sometimes trying to be the alpha, but with Kendi, I’m nothing but soft and loving. A peaceful home with patient, loving people. Ideally, a home that might consider adopting both me and Kendi together — we’ve never been apart. But if that’s not possible, we’ll understand, as long as we’re loved. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2478178##

Story
My name is RANGO (Bango) and here is a little info about me:Breed: HuskyAge: 2 yrsGender: makeWeight: 30 kgCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlight(s): sweet, calm, intelligent, playful, curious, loyal Just a sweet boy awaiting his forever home. Hoping you see the loving-kindness on my face. While feeding stray dogs my rescuer saw me. I was skinny, scared, and kept my distance. But over time, I learned to trust my rescuer. Now I stay in a temporary place where she visits and feeds me every day. Where I stay is in a field without shelter and it‘s extremely hot! My country is terribly hot this time of year and I am having a very difficult time. Can you imagine with my husky coat? The problem is they can't keep me in the field for very much longer. The authoritues and neighbors create a potential danger.I get along fine with other dogs and people, including men. And while there is no video proof, my rescuer states I get along with kids too.I am a stunning Siberian with a heart full of adventure and eyes that tell a story of resilience. But I'm not just a beautiful face — I display a loyal and ready to deeply bond attitude with my forever person.Us huskies are quite intelligent. Also, we are generally known for being fairly energetic. I have a playful, curious spirit and love long walks, sniffing out new places, and of course, the occasional zoomies in the yard. I'm great on leash, eager to explore, and always up for a new experience — whether it's a hike in nature or a quiet evening at home. While I am full of energy, I also have a calm, gentle side. I enjoy affection, and once I trust you, I become your loyal shadow. I've been socialized well and do great with dogs and kids — but not tested with cats.I learn quickly and responds well to positive reinforcement. I'd thrive in a home that understands Husky needs — mental stimulation, regular exercise, and plenty of love. Video with child https://youtube.com/shorts/8bVW4vJcrQI.
