Story
Hello! My name is Archie and I'm looking for new adventures in Canada! Here is a little info about me: Breed: Golden Retriever Shepherd Mix Age: 2 years Gender: Male Weight: 60 lbs Height: 65 cm (ground to shoulder) Current Location: Middle East Energy: Moderate to high—ready for fun and adventure, but also happy to relax by your side. I Get Along With: Dogs: Yes! I love doggy friends. Cats: Unknown (haven’t met any yet) Kids: Unknown (haven’t met any yet) Fears: I’m a brave little survivor, but please be patient as I settle into new environments. Training: I know some leash and house manners, but I’ll need help continuing my training and learning new things. Leash skills: Some, but I’d love more practice! House trained: A little bit, please help me improve! Health Notes: I am healthy and ready to go! I have been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fee: $800.00 CAD + taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Highlight(s): Super friendly, cuddly, and playful; very smart and quick learner A little about me:Hi there! I’m Archie — a fluffy, friendly guy who loves to cuddle and play.  I am a bundle of joy wrapped in fluffy coat! Super friendly doesn’t even begin to describe me. I'm like a big teddy bear who love to cuddle up close and soak up all the belly rubs. Playtime is my favorite time, whether it’s chasing a ball, learning new tricks, or just goofing around. I'm pretty smart too and I pick up commands quickly and can’t wait to learn more from my new family. I love meeting other dogs and making new pals, though I haven’t met kids or cats just yet — but I'm curious and excited to see who else I can befriend! I also have my brother Buster by my side, he's my best friend in the world! My Story - My brother Buster and I were just tiny puppies when we were rescued from a breeder in the Middle East. Back then, life was tough — cramped spaces, little love, and lots of uncertainty. But everything changed when someone kind came to save us. It felt like waking up from a scary dream into a world filled with warmth, soft beds, and endless belly rubs! Since then, Buster and I have been inseparable — growing up together, cuddling, exploring, and learning about all the wonderful things life has to offer. My Ideal Home -  I would like to have a big yard to run around in, lots of daily walks, and a patient owner who can help me keep learning and growing. I love being active, but I also enjoy quiet, cuddle time. Buster and I looking for a forever family who understands that adopting both of us means double the love, double the fun, and two best friends who will always stick together. My brother, Buster and I are the perfect mix of playful energy and calm snuggles, always ready to brighten your day with wagging tails and happy hearts. If we can find a home together that would be preferred. Meet Buster by clicking this link Buster Health Notes:I am healthy and ready to go!I have been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.  While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2417840##

Story
Hellooooooo. My name is HANI  and here is a bit about me:Age: 2 yrsGender: maleHeight: 50 lbsWeight: 20 kgCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: Blind, intelligent, sensitive, affectionate, adaptable, resilient A brave, heart-melting Husky who navigates the world through scent and soul, looking for a stable heart to guide his way.Found trembling in a tiny decorative garden patch outside a grocery store, my journey began in total darkness and fear.Being blind, I was stuck and bullied by stray dogs, unable to find my way out. When rescuers first reached for me, I snapped and bit out of pure terror, not because I was mean, but because I’d never known a safe touch. Thankfully, they didn't give up. With time and gentleness, fear turned into trust, and those terrifying hands became my favorite source of comfort. Sensitive, intelligent, and deeply affectionate, I'm a young guy who has beautifully adapted to a world without sight.Instead of eyes, I rely on voices, footsteps, and smells to recognize my favorite people.Nowadays, melting into pets, giving kisses, and playing with the family baby are what I do best.Whether offering a paw or walking confidently around the house, my resilience proves that blindness hasn't stopped me from living a joyful, normal life.Sensitive, intelligent and deeply affectionate, I am a young Husky who has learned to trust humans again after a very painful start. While I may be cautious at first with unfamiliar voices and sudden movements, once I recognize someone’s presence and energy, I become warm, gentle, and trusting. I learn sound cues fast and have exceptional memory for layouts. My special talent is giving the best "thank you" kisses! Consistency is everything for a blind dog, so a calm home with a stable routine would be a dream.Having another friendly dog to act as a "guide" would provide immense social comfort. A patient family, with adults or children who move gently, and a secure yard will help me thrive.Once familiar with my surroundings, expect a loyal companion who attaches deeply to those who show kindness.I have so much love to give. Hoping you are looking for a companion to love too. Energy Level: moderate to moderate-highI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: yes Fears: none observed, except for uncertainty at first. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: no. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:Congenital blindness (painless); otherwise healthy, strong, and ready for adventures. I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $650.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.
