Story
Greetings from down south. My name is NIEVE, and here is a little info about me:Breed: HuskyAge: 7 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 54 lbsCountry of origin: MexicoHighlight(s): Devoted mama, calm temperament, beautifully adapted to home life Unlike many huskies, I am not high-energy or demanding. I’m a gentle, affectionate girl who loves being close to my people. After surviving life on the streets, I now cherish the comfort and safety of a warm home.Abandoned on the streets in the southern area of Mexico,  because I was not spayed, I ended up having a litter of puppies. This, while trying to survive outdoors. From that litter, only one puppy survived — my daughter, Loola (also posted.)Thankfully, I was rescued and brought into a safe home environment where I have adapted very well to domestic life and human interaction. My rescuer states I have shown what a remarkable and resilient dog I am. Now, I enjoy stability, kindness, and the comfort of indoor living. I am calm, loving, and very people-oriented. I enjoy attention and welcome visitors with a relaxed and friendly nature. I bond closely with my humans and have a quiet, loving presence. I also have excellent manners and am house-trained.When it comes to other dogs, I am generally calm and not aggressive. I typically keep my distance or ignore unfamiliar dogs at first. On occasion, I may give a low growl if another dog is too invasive in my space, but I will not escalate or initiate conflict. With proper introductions and respectful dogs, I relax over time. Are you aware, my name means Snow? Pretty fitting for a husly, don't you think? If you are interested in 2 dogs, my daughter Loola is also needing a home. We do great together. There would be a little discount for adopting more than one of us.I would thrive in a loving home where I can continue enjoying indoor life and companionship. A calm, stable environment with kind and patient adopters would be ideal.More videos of me: https://youtube.com/shorts/O7jrLvzCXVY,  https://youtu.be/3XKvXRJqDAw Energy Level:Low to moderateI get along with:Dogs: yes (but can be selective)Cats: Unknown, rescuer states yes, await vidsKids: unknown, rescuer states yes, but no vids yet Fears: None observed. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes: History of adverse reaction to Bravecto. Heartworm testing in process. My hips are currently being evaluated for some potential hip displaysia. If surgical intervention is needed, I will have that completed, so I won't have issues once adopted.I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2665316##

Story
Hi, my name is SUKI and I am a calm and adventurous 7 year old husky who is looking for my forever family. I am living with a foster in Greater Vancouver but my foster has many terrific friends who have also become my friends - pretty lucky for me, eh?! Let me tell you a bit about myself... I have just turned 7 years old and I weigh 22 kg. I was living with a couple but something happened to them and so they were unable to keep me. I just love my humans and joining them on adventures. I love car travel, I love wading into streams and playing outdoors in Nature, and I especially love cuddles and strokes. Rub my belly and I'm a very happy dog! My only request is that my humans not touch me when I am sleeping or resting as I find it somewhat startling.  I get along with other dogs, I've had no experience with cats, and I really love humans of all ages. My foster has been taking me for walks and I think I'm pretty good at leash walking and at greeting other dogs. I also have good manners at dog parks and enjoy playing with the other dogs. I would really like a home with a fenced back yard (if possible) and with humans who don't leave me alone for too long. It's not that I misbehave, it's just that I've had many sad hours alone in the past and I love to be with humans fo kind of make up for the time I've spent alone in the past. I'm not a barky or licky-type dog and I am quite chill indoors. I am fully housetrained. I would be very very happy to meet you and go for a walk to show you what a loving dog I am! I am immunized, spayed, and microchipped. I'm all about bringing you an upbeat look on life and inspiring you to the heights of happiness.I was found hiding under piles of trash by the side of the road with my sister. We were young puppies, around 5 months of age, extremely skinny, starving and dehydrated. The video of our rescue shows tis drinking water for over 3 minutes straight. In typical husky fashion, my goofy personality is hard to miss. My exaggerated facial expressions and floppy ears were characteristic as a puppy, and still are - I am still the same quirky little puppy today, 2 years later.A few months after I was rescued, I had a sudden health decline, and was diagnosed with meningitis. It developed quickly, and luckily was caught early. I was hospitalized and treated for the condition and made a miraculous full recovery. Since then, I have been living with my foster mom and foster sister Zoey (also posted.)I am the epitome of 'social butterfly' amongst my foster group and make sure everyone joins in on the fun.I get along well with dogs and my bond with my foster sister Zoe is a true testament to my friendly, loving nature. While neither cats nor kids have been a part of my repertoire, my friendly nature may well lend to a good relationship with either. While I may be fearful of men at first meet, with a slow intro... and some treats, I readily warm up. No issue with women and have developed strong relationships with men, as well. I just need a little time to feel safe at first. Hello out there! My name is RAZ and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Siberian Husky mix Age: Approx. 5 years old Gender: Male Weight: 37 lbs (17 kg)  Height: 60cm (floor to shoulders), 75 cm (floor to ear tips) Length: 90 cm (nose to base of tail), Current Location: SOUTH KOREA  RESCUE STORY - I came to Doremi Dog Rescue (S. Korea) in April 2025 after being rescued from a difficult situation. Before my rescue, I lived without the love and care I deserved for a long time. Thanks to a kind neighbour, I was brought to safety and given a new chance at life! Since arriving at the shelter, I have shown my true gentle and affectionate nature. I am ready to leave my past behind me and find my forever family!  TEMPERAMENT – I am a boy who loves people deeply and feels happiest when I've got human company. I am gentle and affectionate with people I trust. I loveeee walks, ride calmly in the car without a crate, and love to run alongside my guardian. I get the zoomies sometimes and love a good run in an open space. I am even a good boy when getting a bath (video). I am generally a very easy dog to handle and don't mind being touched, even on my belly. In true husky fashion, though, I don't like to be touched when I'm super focused on something (or eating food) and may growl or grumble if I'm uncomfortable.  While I get along with the small dogs at the shelter and am neutral around big dogs, I may prefer to be a solo-dog in my forever household. I am so deserving of all the love and undivided attention of my humans! I am a slow eater and sometimes leave my food and return to munch on it later. I like to have my own space when I eat, so feeding me away from the hustle and bustle of the home is preferred. I sometimes will howl when left alone (again, husky!!), so I may not be well-suited for apartment-living. I am looking for a family who can provide regular walks and adventure, moderate exercise (I am a husky, after all!), and plenty of companionship. Think you're exactly what I'm looking for? Please apply to adopt me! I promise to be the most loyal companion!  ENERGY LEVEL – Medium. I am a healthy husky boy - so I require daily physical and mental activity to keep me feeling content. I am well suited for daily walks and would love some adventure experience - I hear the Pacific Northwest has mountains and trails and rivers and lakes... oh boy! After I've been sufficiently exercised, I am cool as a cucumber and happy to chill, snooze, and receive pets.  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown.  same with ALL dogs, if I am around children, I should be supervised! My humans need to advocate for my space and make sure I am respected :)  Dogs – Yup! I am currently living with 10 small dogs (under 10kg) at the shelter and I have met some larger dogs at a local doggy play cafe (click here to see - I share the space with the other dogs part way through the video). While I get along with dogs (video, video, video), I prefer the company of humans and gravitate to them in these settings.  When I first meet new dogs, I occasionally will growl (as if to establish a canine heirarchy), but I quickly settle after. This hasn't ever escalated to biting or fighting, but just something for my humans to be aware of. I do best when meeting dogs through a fence, followed by a neutral interaction (butt sniffs) and then I am ready to neutrally co-exist! When treats are scattered for me and my shelter mates to eat freely, I can sometimes be a little sensitive (resource guarding). If feeding me around other dogs, it is best for me to be supervised and for my humans to advocate for my space. I haven't ever shown aggression, but I will growl and advocate for my space if humans don't do it for me. Cats – Unknown. PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I'm doing pretty well on leash! (video) I sometimes pull a bit (I'm a husky, hehe), but I respond well to a bit of leash pressure. I hope to find an adopter who will continue to work with me on my leash skills. House trained – I am house-trained at the shelter/foster home and do my business outside. Please expect an adjustment period when I go to my forever home though, I may have a few accidents while I'm learning about my new environment. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help remind me of my housetraining manners in my new home!  Cate training: Yup! Basic socialization: Yes – good with people and dogs (with appropriate introductions on neutral territory) No significant behavioral issues Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying to Canada. Diet: I benefit from a diet with good hydration and with fresh or moist food (this supports good urinary health in adult dogs!) I occasionally take supplements for urinary support. I eat chicken and vegetable soup (for hydration) mixed with kibble. I'm a fancy boi! I will have dental cleaning, if necessary, before flying to Canada. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.  ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $728.00 CAD ($650.00 + 5% GST and 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process. Story
This sweet girl has a quiet, calm, and kind disposition but loves a good romp around and play! Misty is a Husky mix, so she will need an experienced and confident guardian who understands the needs of a Husky. Typical of Huskies, this charming girl loves her people but can be slightly standoffish with new people. Once she gets to know you, she'll be pawing for pets and snuggles! Misty is approaching her senior years, so potential adopters will need to be prepared to get her seen regularly for checkups as she goes through her golden years. It is also important that adopters practice "cooperative care" with Misty, as she is very sensitive to vet handling and procedures. Misty can be reactive at times to certain dogs, so adopters would need to be willing to support her and manage this behaviour. The perfect home for sweet Misty is a stable one; she is used to a calm, quiet, and predictable home and is looking to continue that lifestyle. Misty would love to be the only dog in the home and would rather not live with young kids. If you think Misty could be a good fit for you, please fill out an online application.Dog meets are by appointment only. Walk in meets may not be accommodated. * TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 25.2 Age: 5yrs 9mths 3wks
