Story
Banneker, id 16588 – kennel 834 – arrived jan 28
Siberian husky/hound mix, black and tan – male, 2 years old, 50 lb – neutered – up to date on vaccines – heartworm negative
Banneker is one of those dogs who quietly steals your heart. From the moment you meet him, his stunning, mismatched eyes draw you in, but it’s his gentle, steady nature that truly makes him special. Even in the shelter environment, Banneker remains calm and composed, resting quietly in his kennel and showing just how well-mannered he is.
He’s a pleasure to walk on leash and clearly enjoys getting out for peaceful strolls, taking in new sights and smells with relaxed curiosity. Banneker knows how to sit, takes treats softly from your hand, and seems genuinely happy to spend time with people. He doesn’t demand attention—he simply appreciates it, offering quiet companionship and a warm presence in return.
At 2 years old and 50 pounds, Banneker is the perfect size for an active yet relaxed home. He’s healthy, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, and will be neutered prior to adoption. Banneker is ready for a family who will see beyond his handsome face and recognize the loyal, kind-hearted companion waiting to share walks, calm moments, and a lifetime of love.
