With his striking black-and-white coat and bright, intelligent expression, he immediately catches attention — but it’s his gentle, hopeful energy that makes people linger. He walks beautifully on a leash, taking his time to explore without pulling or rushing, and he’s incredibly polite when offered treats, accepting them with soft, grateful manners. He also appears to be potty trained, which gives a great head start to settling comfortably into a home. Auggie stays relaxed and unbothered when he sees other dogs at the shelter. If you have a resident dog at home, you’re welcome to bring them for a meet-and-greet to see if they’re a good match for Auggie. Sammy is a stunning 5 year old Siberian husky mix that was found as a stray on 12/11. He is microchipped but his owners did not reclaim him. They did mention that he is good with children and dog friendly. He’s not the best choice for being around farm animals and is not good with cats. He’s very sweet, walks great on the leash, very polite and gentle, and sits when asked. He’s up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and will be neutered upon adoption.
