Meet Ginger, a 3-year-old, 50 lb retriever/hound mix with a curious mind and a heart full of love. Ginger is affectionate and playful when she’s not busy checking out her surroundings. She’s known for her “sneak-attack kisses” and loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch after a good walk. She’s smart and food-motivated, already knows sit, shake, and come, and is learning place and down. Ginger is comfortable in a crate, sleeps soundly through the night, and often chooses her crate as a comfy hangout spot. With her active energy, she thrives on walks and adventures, but also has a softer, cuddly side once she’s settled. Ginger would do best in an active home with someone who can keep her busy, continue her training, and give her plenty of enrichment. She can be excitable and pulls on leash when overstimulated, so a patient owner committed to helping her practice good manners will set her up for success.
