He is house trained and already knows sit, showing that he’s a smart boy who has had some training and structure in his life.Like many dogs in a kennel environment, Seamus has shown some signs of resource guarding. We believe this behavior is likely related to kennel stress, but because every dog is an individual, potential adopters should be aware and prepared to manage and work through this behavior. For this reason, Seamus will do best with experienced owners who understand canine behavior and are comfortable continuing training and providing clear boundaries.In the right home—one that offers patience, consistency, and a calm environment—Seamus has the opportunity to become a loyal and rewarding companion. He just needs someone willing to put in the time to help him feel safe and secure.If you’re an experienced dog owner looking to make a meaningful difference in a dog’s life, Seamus may be the one for you.Adoption Hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.
