Story
April Golden Retriever Female Location: Decatur, IL April is a true Golden! She is playful, sweet, curious and ready to explore in her new home! She is being fostered in a home with other dogs and is enjoying interacting with them and doing all things puppy. Her introduction to toys has quickly led to a joy of bones, rope toys and really anything she can (safely) chew on. She is being crate trained and loves to have her lampchop or snuggle puppy with her to cuddle and keep her company. She is not in a foster home w/children or cats. She is on a dry kibble diet with freeze dried raw as a supplement with her meals. April has been seen by the veterinarian and is perfectly healthy with no concerns. She is microchipped and has received all age-appropriate puppy vaccines. Rabies will be completed when she is old enough. She is not spayed due to age; a spay contract is required, and Leia’s Hope will cover $200 toward the spay when completed between 9-12 months of age. Adoption fee: $550 Applications are processed in 7–10 business days. An approved application is required before a meet and greet. All family members, including resident dogs, must attend, and adopters must travel to Decatur IL. We do not provide transportation. If flying home with your new pet, April must ride in the cabin with her family; cargo flights are not permitted. Puppies are a lifetime commitment of 15+ years. If at any point April cannot remain with her adopter, she must be returned to Leia’s Hope Canine Rescue. Applications and additional information can be found at leiashope.org.
