Meet Dandy! She is believed to be a 2 year old Lab retriever mix. Dandy is great and has made steady progress since she arrived at the sanctuary. Dandy and her sisters where part of a hoarding case where over 40 dogs lived for years and one day abandoned. Dandy has shown she is good with every dog of every size and age she meets, cats and even love the joy kids own. While she is still timid and a bit shy she is outgoing, happy, joyful, and playful. She's our little tom boy in the group of girls. Dandy wrestles, loves toys, dances with Hugo every chance she gets, loves the outdoor altho she still unsure, loves swimming, hiking, and is always pushing to explore life and the true meaning of how a pet should be treated and live for, humans. Her healing has helped her become an amazing dog and she is ready for her forever humans to join her new life adventures. The sky has no limit as long as her people have her back, encourage and push her to try as she experience the life of a pet. Dandy absolutely needs a home with other playful dogs, a owner with an adventures soul and patience as her curiosa little heart lives the best life she can. A secure fenced in yard is a must. We welcome condo and apartment living adopters too. Story
Meet Sunny short for Sunflower. She is believed to be a bloodhound shepherd mix possibly retriever. a year old at most. Sunny was pulled from a local shelter Christmas of 2021 after a hoarding abandonment case of 27 plus fearful feral dogs left behind in a property. The home was condemned, disgusting filthy. A home in such condition, no animal or human should have to live in. Sunny and 3 others call the sanctuary home for the time being, all are doing amazing with their rehab, learning what life as a loved pet should be. Sunny struggles to settle in and takes more time then the others. She is the one that stresses easily when meeting new people but with a playful active dog mentoring her she does so much better. She slowly warms up some when it comes to people, still unsure if she wants human affection at first but will always take a treat, moves in for petting, willing to snuggle and even cuddle. Sunny loves all the dogs, is good with cats and small critters too. A 100% secured fenced in yard is a must, A home with other pets is required. At least 1 other balance playful, outgoing dog for her to follow/gravitate toward. Sunny has an amazing personality she herself is still learning about who she is. Always best to approach her slow at first. Sunny needs a lot of confidence still, and that requires a lot of patience with no set time frame and expectations ever. Allow her to live life 1 day at a time. Sunny walks amazing on leash, barks very little but barks. is very playful, loves treats, and eventually settles in. Sunny is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, de-wormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention. Story
CJ is one of a pair of goldens that is looking for a new home after their owner could no longer take care of them due to health issues. He is a giant boy weighing over 100lbs, but a gentle sweet soul. Both CJ and his brother are purebred golden retrievers from the same breeder down south. He is completely house broken, good with all dogs and people. CJ does have allergies and needs a daily medication to keep him comfortable. Although both goldens lover each other, they do not need to be adopted together, and think CJ would love to have a home where is receives more individual attention. He is a perfect boy, and no negatives to share.

Story
Turner is one of a pair of goldens that is looking for a new home after their owner could no longer take care of them due to health issues. He is a playful active dog that is high attention seeking and loves the focus to be on him. He loves to play fetch and will do so as long as you let him. He is completely housebroken and gets along with dogs and humans of all sizes and ages. He can be competitive over toys, but does not resource guard, but will need another dog savvy dog that will let him win. Turner does benefit of an owner that can use their STERN voice when he is being mischievous, otherwise he will push his limits with silly behaviors. He is a great dog, really well behaved, good boy that would do good in most homes. He can be adopted with or without CJ.

Story
I have a 3 year old dog who is house trained needs to be rehomed. He is up to date on his vaccines and has got an adorable personality. He's head shy when he first meets you( will go away after a few weeks haven’t had much problems since), resource guards and like to nip a lot at first, once he gets settled his personality comes through and you almost forget about his behavior issues. When we agreed to take him in, we didn't know what issues he had and we just don't have the time to help him. He does well with other dogs, although due to the resource guarding we did feed separately. Unsure of cats or other animals. He's a great guard dog and will let you know when someone pulls in the driveway. He's curious and loves looking out the window. He really needs someone who has experience with a semi aggressive dog and has the time and resources to help train him.I wouldn't recommend him in a home with children. cooper is a good dog. He just needs a chance to prove it to someone.
