Story
This gorgeous gent is Theo. He's a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever, aprox 4 yrs old, and very lovable and friendly. Theo has a big, loveable personality and doesn’t know a stranger. He's good with kiddos but due to his size and lack of grace, kids over 8 yrs old would be appropriate. Theo gets along with other dogs, but would be fine as a single dog as well. Unknown if safe around cats or other animals. He's good on lead and enjoys walks, house trained and crate trained. . Theo is looking for a home where he's part of the family, 6 ft fencing, and he'd like an indoor/outdoor home as he loves to be inside cuddling next to you, and also enjoys outside on good weather days. He's a mannerly chap for his age, minus the occasional counter surfing for a snack. Theo is neutered, fully vaccinated, heart worm negative, and microchipped. He is fostered in Oklahoma City, and meet and greets are arranged once your app. has been processed. The adoption donation is $250. If you can donate more to help with his vetting and care costs that would be greatly appreciated. .

Story
Oh my gosh. What could be better than a Golden Retriever mixed with a Great Pyrenees?! The answer....nothing! Well, maybe winning the lottery so you can own ALLLLLL the Pyr/Golden mixes...but I digress! This amazingly handsome boy is Lassie. Lassie is a 2-year-old, 83lb male Pyr/Golden mix. This boy is just about as perfect as they come. First off, he has excellent house manners. He is old enough to understand that pottying in the house is frowned upon, and munching on all our favorite things doesn't earn him yummy treats. Lassie can be trusted to free-roam the house as he is potty trained, not a destructive chewer, and is prefers to keep his house nice and tidy. How else is he supposed to find the best napping places?! Lassie does great with other dogs, kids, and cats. He is the kind of boy who loves to be part of whatever his family is doing, but he doesn't necessarily need to be the center of attention. He is perfectly happy to just mingle and spend some quality time with his family. Lassie has one of the best energy levels around. He is calm but he is also always up for doing something with his people. Be it a car ride, a walk, or maybe even a hike. Just make sure that you are prepared with a Lassie-size backpack should you hike too far and he decided that a long and well-deserved rest is in order and he is not moving one more step. Even if your house is within eyesight. ;) Lassie doesn't really care much for toys...they just don't seem to strike his fancy. However, he does enjoy playing in the water so that should be a plus for you aqua lovers out there! Lassie is one of those dogs that would be a good fit for just about any family out there. If you are single and looking to mingle, this boy would be the perfect excuse to check out those fancy dog parks that also serve adult beverages. If you are married and looking for your first dog together, Lassie is going to soon become the love of your lives. His energy level and manners will soon have you wrapped around his paw wondering how you ever lived without him! If you have other dogs, cats, and even kids...Lassie would also be a good match. He is not picky. The only thing Lassie asks for is a family that is going to love him and be as loyal to him as he will be to you! Along with that, he promises to share his fluff with the whole household. Your furniture, your floors, your clothes, and even your food will soon be accessorized by his fur. No thanks necessary, Lassie is just doing his job in ensuring that everyone knows this is his home and there is plenty of fluff and love to go around!

Betty White's Story -Written by Betty White, a 52lb female Golden Retriever mix. 📍 Pickup Location: Midwest City, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Life hasn't been an easy ride for me. Before coming to PPFT, I spent my days begging for attention, often going without food, and enduring the elements 24/7. My owner had a peculiar fondness for dogs, collecting us like some people collect stamps. We were crammed into a small, overgrown pen, and it was chaos. Fights would break out, and I learned to hide quickly—if you didn't get out of the way, you'd end up in the middle of the brawl too. When things were calm, we would just hope for a scrap of attention from our owner. But those moments were rare. We were lucky if he even remembered to feed us. It sounds terrible, and looking back, it definitely was, but that was the only life I had ever known since I was a puppy. I never got to come inside, never escaped the relentless heat, the bone-chilling cold, the rain, the storms, or the snow. That was just how life was. Then one day, our owner left and never came back. We were abandoned in that small pen, left to fend for ourselves. We were incredibly lucky that someone discovered us and reached out for help. The only option was the local shelter, but it was tiny and couldn't accommodate so many dogs. If we couldn't find somewhere to go, we were all going to be euthanized. Thankfully, some amazing volunteers worked tirelessly to get us out of there. Thanks to an incredible foster family stepping up with PPFT, I got my second chance at life! ❤️ Upon entering my foster home, I think the thing I remember the most was that first feeling of A/C. By the time we had been rescued, the days had become so hot and there was never any kind of real relief from it. Getting to feel that cold air and get away from the heat is a feeling I will probably never forget! I went to the vet for the first time in my whole life and got all fixed up and taken care of...except for one thing. Turns out, I am heartworm positive. This is yet another way my owner failed me. Now I have to go through a lengthy couple month treatment to get rid of them. But I guess the good news is that I am getting rid of them, and at least come around mid-July I will be all set to go home! I figure it was a good idea to go ahead and introduce myself already so hopefully I will have a loving family waiting for me at the finish line in about another month waiting with open arms! Despite my past, I am one of the sweetest and most gentle girls you'll ever meet. Sure, I might be a bit cautious when meeting new dogs and people at first. But who wouldn't be? Life hasn't exactly been a walk in the park for me. Once I realize that no one is going to hurt me, I transform into a happy-go-lucky girl who loves playing with other dogs and cuddling with my humans! I've even met the furry bags of attitude known as cats in my foster home. They are these mysterious creatures I had never encountered before joining PPFT, and I'm fascinated by them. I get all excited trying to befriend them, but for some reason, my charm doesn't seem to work on them. They just keep walking off with that air of superiority. One day, though, I just know I'll win over a kitty and have a purring friend for life! Kids? I haven't met any yet. But I imagine if they're gentle and patient, we could become best pals in no time. If they're loud and don't quite get that I need to take things slow and be reassured that everything will be okay, it might not be the best match. Once I let my guard down, I transform into a playful puppy with a zest for life. You see, I never really got the chance to just be a puppy, so now I'm making up for lost time. I love dashing around the yard like a squirrel on caffeine, playing with toys, and engaging in epic games of chase with my doggy pals. Walks? Oh, they're the best! Every leaf, every stick, every fire hydrant is an adventure waiting to happen. There's just so much to learn and experience, and I'm ready for it all with my tail wagging and my ears flopping in the wind. After I've had my fill of fun and burned off some energy, I become the ultimate snuggle bug. I love curling up on the couch, melting into my humans like a puddle of fur and affection. There's nothing quite like the feeling of being pet and knowing I'm safe, loved, and in my happy place. I think apartment life would be yet another brand-new adventure for me! With time, I bet I'd become an expert apartment dweller. My new family would just need to be active and patient as I continue honing my leash skills and building my confidence with all the exciting new things we'll encounter. I'm happy to report that I'm already potty trained, which apparently is a pretty big deal—who knew humans cared so much about where we do our business? And guess what? I'm also kennel-trained! I may not be a barker, but I do enjoy a good chat and will gladly alert you to things. My fosters say my "talking" is pretty darn cute, like having a furry little gossip buddy. So far, I haven't been a big chewer, but I am still young and have just discovered the magical world of toys. So, I can't promise I won't take your stinky shoes or TV remote for a joyride one day. But hey, isn't that part of my charm? ;) So, if you're ready for an adventure and a whole lot of love, look no further! Adopting me means welcoming a playful spirit, a cuddle buddy, and a charming chatterbox all rolled into one adorable package. I'll keep you laughing with my antics, warm your heart with my snuggles, and make every day a little brighter. Plus, you'll have the best walking buddy in town, always ready to explore and discover new things with you. So, what are you waiting for? Let's start this amazing journey together—adopt me, and let's make a lifetime of happy memories! Apply at https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3 Once your application comes on, PPFT will send over more details about me and forward your app to my foster family for review. If everything still sounds like a match, PPFT will finish getting you all approved so you can meet and welcome me home!

Story
Ginger is a bouncy wonderful older puppy! She's friendly and confident with meeting new dogs and listens well when told "off, "no, and "down. She has tons of energy and enjoys wrestling with her two foster brother dogs who are mid sized pit mixes. She knows "sit, "load up, "crate, & "go potty. She sleeps through the night in her crate and doesn't cry, whine, or bark excessively. She can be left alone in a room without destroying or shredding things. I have only had to redirect her once back to a toy instead of a blanket she was starting to chew on. She loves playing with her ball and playing fetch as well as running laps around the yard. She's super loving and enjoys pets and cuddles and being brushed. She seems independent and doesn't appear to have any real issues with separation anxiety. She's honestly been one of our easiest fosters so far! We're still working on mild counter surfing with her, jumping up on people's legs when she gets excited. She loves to bounce, but doesn't seem interested in jumping up or over fences. She's a really solid baby and would do extremely well in a home with a yard for her run and play in!

Hi, I'm Tucker! I'm so happy to have my interview!! The guys all told me that it was going to be my turn soon, and they were right!! I was out taking a walk, I just love walks! I had been walking for awhile, and decided to take a rest on a nice porch. The man who owned that porch was none to happy that I was there. He even threatened me! How rude! Anyways, he called the officers and they came and took me away. What an adventure that was!! Those nice guys brought me to this place. I had to stay in a room all by myself for awhile. It was so lonely. I don't like to be alone. But soon, the humans said that I could go stay with the big dogs! I really like going outside! My best friend is Pippy! We play for hours, chasing each other and wrestling. The humans are so nice to me here, but I heard rumor that they help find furever families. I'm not really sure what that means, but it sounds like something I would like too! I'll even let you boop my snoot!
