Story
Oh my gosh. What could be better than a Golden Retriever mixed with a Great Pyrenees?! The answer....nothing! Well, maybe winning the lottery so you can own ALLLLLL the Pyr/Golden mixes...but I digress! This amazingly handsome boy is Lassie. Lassie is a 2-year-old, 83lb male Pyr/Golden mix. This boy is just about as perfect as they come. First off, he has excellent house manners. He is old enough to understand that pottying in the house is frowned upon, and munching on all our favorite things doesn't earn him yummy treats. Lassie can be trusted to free-roam the house as he is potty trained, not a destructive chewer, and is prefers to keep his house nice and tidy. How else is he supposed to find the best napping places?! Lassie does great with other dogs, kids, and cats. He is the kind of boy who loves to be part of whatever his family is doing, but he doesn't necessarily need to be the center of attention. He is perfectly happy to just mingle and spend some quality time with his family. Lassie has one of the best energy levels around. He is calm but he is also always up for doing something with his people. Be it a car ride, a walk, or maybe even a hike. Just make sure that you are prepared with a Lassie-size backpack should you hike too far and he decided that a long and well-deserved rest is in order and he is not moving one more step. Even if your house is within eyesight. ;) Lassie doesn't really care much for toys...they just don't seem to strike his fancy. However, he does enjoy playing in the water so that should be a plus for you aqua lovers out there! Lassie is one of those dogs that would be a good fit for just about any family out there. If you are single and looking to mingle, this boy would be the perfect excuse to check out those fancy dog parks that also serve adult beverages. If you are married and looking for your first dog together, Lassie is going to soon become the love of your lives. His energy level and manners will soon have you wrapped around his paw wondering how you ever lived without him! If you have other dogs, cats, and even kids...Lassie would also be a good match. He is not picky. The only thing Lassie asks for is a family that is going to love him and be as loyal to him as he will be to you! Along with that, he promises to share his fluff with the whole household. Your furniture, your floors, your clothes, and even your food will soon be accessorized by his fur. No thanks necessary, Lassie is just doing his job in ensuring that everyone knows this is his home and there is plenty of fluff and love to go around!

Story
If this gal's eyes don't capture your attention, her beautiful cream-colored coat surely will....and if somehow that doesn't strike your fancy...her personality will surely have you submitting an application for her! This gorgeous girl is New Destiny. I am sure you are curious about where her name came from. Well, despite her gorgeous looks and fun personality, this girl found herself on death row in the shelter when she was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed. She was only hours away from being euthanized in an overcrowded shelter when we had a foster family step up for her. It was a group effort to get her safe from shelter volunteers to transporters, to a temp foster, to finally getting her to her foster family. She is a perfect example of people coming together to give her a second chance and that is why she was named New Destiny. Because she deserved so much more than what she was given, and now she has a "New Destiny" ahead of her. One full of life, love, and adventure! Destiny is an 8-month-old, 40lb female Golden Retriever/Husky mix with a personality as delightful as her fluffy butt. She's the perfect blend for someone seeking a furball that doesn’t quite reach Pyrabear size but also isn’t a pint-sized yappy dog tripping you up at every turn. This little lady is up for anything – from hitting the town and strutting her stuff on walks to tackling a hike or two. But don't let her adventurous side fool you; Destiny also knows how to kick back and relax. She's a master of chill, perfectly happy to entertain herself with toys, play with other dogs, or find the coolest spot to flop down and enjoy a good nap. She's discovered the wonders of air conditioning and has no plans of giving that up anytime soon. She’s basically your personal fluffy AC enthusiast! When she's not basking in the glory of indoor climate control, Destiny loves playing with toys and engaging in epic games of keep-away. Just toss her a toy, and watch her transform into the sassiest little trickster. She’ll dart around, making you work for it like you’re auditioning for a canine version of "The Great Toy Chase." As for water, Destiny is still on the fence. She hasn't quite tested her sea legs yet, so the jury's still out on whether she'll become a merdog or stick to being a landlubber. Either way, she's ready to be your loyal companion, providing endless laughs and love. Destiny is a social superstar who gets along famously with other dogs, cats, and kids. Her canine companions have played a big role in boosting her confidence and are her go-to partners for energy-burning play sessions. When it comes to cats, Destiny is as chill as a cucumber. She treats the resident feline like part of the furniture—acknowledging the cat's existence without making a fuss. It’s as if she’s saying, "You do you, and I’ll do me." But Destiny's true passion? Kids! She absolutely adores them and transforms into a bundle of joy whenever they’re around. She’s the quintessential kid dog, always eager to join in their games and snuggle up for story time. Destiny’s enthusiasm for meeting new people is infectious—she’s the life of the party, especially when there are children to charm. Destiny's got the potty routine down pat, like a furry little clock. However, she's yet to master the art of signaling her need for a bathroom break. She's a bit shy about it, bless her heart, but as long as you stick to a regular schedule of potty breaks, she's golden—pun absolutely intended. Destiny has a bit of a mischievous streak. She loves getting things off the counter and has even figured out how to get the lids off containers. Clever girl! If you ever find your peanut butter jar mysteriously open, you’ll know who the culprit is. She’s a regular Houdini with a taste for kitchen adventures. Destiny isn’t much of a barker. She only joins in if the other dogs start barking. It’s like she’s saying, “I don’t know what we’re barking about, but I’m here to support you guys!” A true team player in the canine chorus. Once she’s settled in, Destiny can have free roam. She really doesn’t mind the crate at all, so whatever works best for you. Just give her a thick, squishy blanket to lay on and keep that air conditioning flowing, and she’ll be as happy as a clam. Or, more accurately, a very chilled-out pup! So, if you're in need of some laughs, cuddles, and a dash of chaos (in the best possible way), look no further than Destiny. She's ready to embark on all the wacky adventures life has to offer, with you by her side. Who knows what escapades await? One thing's for sure: with Destiny around, every day is guaranteed to be a tail-wagging good time filled with lots of love and fun! 📍 Pickup Location: Skiatook, OK 📝 Apply at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Story
This gorgeous gent is Theo. He's a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever, aprox 4 yrs old, and very lovable and friendly. Theo has a big, loveable personality and doesn’t know a stranger. He's good with kiddos but due to his size and lack of grace, kids over 8 yrs old would be appropriate. Theo gets along with other dogs, but would be fine as a single dog as well. Unknown if safe around cats or other animals. He's good on lead and enjoys walks, house trained and crate trained. . Theo is looking for a home where he's part of the family, 6 ft fencing, and he'd like an indoor/outdoor home as he loves to be inside cuddling next to you, and also enjoys outside on good weather days. He's a mannerly chap for his age, minus the occasional counter surfing for a snack. Theo is neutered, fully vaccinated, heart worm negative, and microchipped. He is fostered in Oklahoma City, and meet and greets are arranged once your app. has been processed. The adoption donation is $250. If you can donate more to help with his vetting and care costs that would be greatly appreciated. .

Story
Hi, I'm Tucker! I'm so happy to have my interview!! The guys all told me that it was going to be my turn soon, and they were right!! I was out taking a walk, I just love walks! I had been walking for awhile, and decided to take a rest on a nice porch. The man who owned that porch was none to happy that I was there. He even threatened me! How rude! Anyways, he called the officers and they came and took me away. What an adventure that was!! Those nice guys brought me to this place. I had to stay in a room all by myself for awhile. It was so lonely. I don't like to be alone. But soon, the humans said that I could go stay with the big dogs! I really like going outside! My best friend is Pippy! We play for hours, chasing each other and wrestling. The humans are so nice to me here, but I heard rumor that they help find furever families. I'm not really sure what that means, but it sounds like something I would like too! I'll even let you boop my snoot!
