Story
Meet Namu   Name: Namu Age: 9 years Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Golden Retriever Color: Golden Weight: 24.5 kg Height: 57 cm (at the shoulder)   Rescue Story   Namu was captured after reports from the public and entered a municipal shelter before being rescued in March 2025.   A registered microchip was found, but unfortunately his previous owner could not be reached. During his medical evaluation, Namu was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and underwent surgery on his left hind leg. He also suffers from chronic dry eye (KCS), which has required ongoing treatment and management.   Since moving into foster care in February 2026, Namu has participated in both professional canine fitness and home rehabilitation programs to rebuild muscle mass and improve his overall strength and mobility. More recently, a benign sebaceous cyst on his chest was surgically removed and has healed well.   Despite everything he has been through, Namu remains one of the sweetest and happiest dogs you could ever meet.   ‍‍‍ People   Namu is the definition of a Golden Retriever. He absolutely adores people and believes everyone is his friend.   He happily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people, leans in for affection, and enjoys being petted. He loves both men and women and has done well with children under 13 years old.   He can be picked up by supporting him under his belly and will even roll over to show his belly to people he has just met.   Dogs   Namu enjoys greeting other dogs during walks and would happily say hello to every dog he sees.   However, he is more of a social greeter than a playmate. He generally prefers relaxing on his own rather than actively playing with other dogs.   He coexists well with other dogs but can become annoyed if they bother him while he is resting. Like many senior dogs, he values his nap time and prefers not to be disturbed while sleeping.   Cats   When he sees cats on walks, Namu is curious and will watch them, but he follows his handler’s guidance and moves along without issue.   Cat testing can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Inside the home, Namu is calm, relaxed, and enjoys spending much of his day napping.   Outside is a different story—he absolutely loves walks and gets excited enough to do a little happy wiggle dance before heading out.   He currently enjoys at least two longer walks per day plus additional potty outings. As long as his exercise needs are met, he is very quiet and well-behaved indoors.   Walking   Namu walks beautifully on leash and is suitable even for first-time dog owners.   He does not pull and generally stays beside his handler. When he gets especially excited, he may speed up a little and weave from side to side, but he remains very manageable.   Other Notes   Fully house-trained (outdoor potty only) Rides quietly in a kennel/crate Jumps into and out of the car independently No separation anxiety May bark at delivery people, knocking sounds, or unexpected visitors Food-motivated and enjoys treats Does not guard food from people, but may growl if another dog approaches while he is eating Can be a little dramatic and somewhat sensitive at times   Namu’s left hind leg has improved significantly through rehabilitation and fitness training. While he once avoided using the surgical leg, he has gained substantial strength and muscle mass through ongoing exercise and conditioning.   Namu also has chronic dry eye (KCS), which requires lifelong management. He currently receives eye drops at least four times daily. If the frequency is reduced, he becomes noticeably uncomfortable. Seasonal allergies and pollen can also make his eyes more sensitive, so adopters should be prepared to continue his eye care routine.   Namu’s Ideal Home   Namu is looking for a family who appreciates everything that makes senior dogs special—a gentle soul, a loving heart, and a lifetime of gratitude.   He may need daily eye care and continued monitoring of his mobility, but in return you’ll get a loyal Golden Retriever who loves people, enjoys his walks, and is happiest simply being near those he loves.   If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion who still lights up at the mention of a walk, Namu may be your perfect match.   Follow Namu’s foster journey: @its_namoo__ Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! Story
Quick Facts  Name: Ilbok Age: 2 years old (Born January 2023) Gender: Male Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Golden Retriever Mix Color: Beige Current Weight: 18 kg My Personality Hey there! I'm Ilbok, a fun-loving and affectionate boy who can't wait to find a family to share all my love with. I may be a little cautious at first, but once I trust you, I’ll show you just how sweet and friendly I can be! I adore people and am always excited to say hello. I’ll happily approach new faces and let you give me all the attention I crave. If you call me, I'll come running—I'm all about making connections! Although I’m friendly with humans, I do take a little time to warm up to other dogs. I can be a bit guarded initially, especially if another dog gets too close too fast, so it’s important to give me the space I need when meeting new pups. I’m just being cautious, but once I get to know you, I’m a great companion. I’ve got a heart full of potential and am ready to build friendships with the right dog pals. On My Walks Oh, how I love my walks! There’s nothing better than getting outside, feeling the breeze, and sniffing all the new scents in the world. I do like to pull on the leash a bit because I’m just so excited to explore! I’ll stop and sniff along the way, and if I see something exciting, I’ll want to check it out. But don’t worry, with a little training, I’ll get better at walking with you calmly by my side. I love the outdoors, and I promise we’ll have lots of fun together—whether it’s a stroll or a more energetic walk. Life At Home When I’m home, I’m the best companion you could ask for. I’m a curious boy who loves being around people, so I’ll probably follow you around, always wanting to know what’s going on. I’m very affectionate and enjoy being petted and loved. I’m also quite adaptable. I do my business indoor and outdoor. I might mark in new enviroment. I’m pretty well-behaved, and while I may show some excitement before meals or walks, I promise it’s just because I’m eager to have a good time with you. I don’t guard my food around people but with other dogs I am still learning. I’m still working on some manners, but I’m a fast learner and I know I’ll do great in a home that gives me the right guidance. My Ideal Home I’m looking for a loving, active family who will appreciate my playful energy and my affectionate nature. Here’s what I’d love in my forever home: Active Adventures: I’d love to be part of a family who enjoys outdoor activities. Whether it’s a long walk, a fun hike, or some playtime in the yard, I’m ready for action! Patience & Guidance: I’m still growing and learning, and I’d thrive in a home where I can continue developing my skills and building my confidence with positive reinforcement. Companionship: I’m social and love being around people, so I’d prefer a home where I’m not left alone for long periods. I thrive when I’m part of the family. Dog-Free: I’d do best as the only dog in the home. Last Message If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will always be excited to share his love and enjoy the world with you, I might be your perfect match! I can’t wait to meet you and start our next adventure together.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Ilbok's YouTube Playlist https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3JwkBxxdtpKRWMXKSXQmWH07&si=PpQFB7u8W9at7g-e ##2458103##
