Story
Bosley is a handsome 1-year-old Golden Retriever - Carolina dog mix with a heart as golden as his coat and temperament that comes from two most wonderful breeds. This sweet boy was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas, where he quickly became a staff favorite thanks to his loving personality and gentle nature. Bosley is the total package! He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children, making him an easy addition to almost any family. He absolutely adores being petted and will happily soak up all the affection you can give. Whether it's belly rubs, ear scratches, or cuddling on the couch, Bosley is always ready for some love. One of Bosley's favorite activities is spending time with his daycare buddies. He enjoys playing with other dogs and has excellent social skills. Despite his friendly and playful nature, he also knows how to relax and settle down. His foster family reports that he does exceptionally well when left alone for long hours and is trustworthy and well-behaved in the home. Bosley is the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into family life. He's affectionate without being demanding, social without being overwhelming, and always eager to make new friends. After surviving a difficult start in life, Bosley is ready for a forever family who will love him as much as he loves everyone he meets. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is great with kids, cats, and dogs, Bosley may be your perfect match. Bosly is about a year old, 52 lb, and growing, will be neutered before he goes to his forever home, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped and kept on preventions. To meet this amazing pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
Meet Ellie, a young, friendly, and playful dog who loves to explore but is also a bit shy. She weighs 49 pounds and is leash trained and house trained, making her a great companion for both active outings and cozy home life. She`s clever and knows the sit, stay, and come commands. Despite her playful nature, Ellie enjoys her lazy moments but can be jumpy and cautious in new situations. Ellie is a bit timid and fearful around children which is why she was returned so children need to be at least nine years old. Even though she is respectful, friendly and playful with dogs and behaves well at the dog park, she is very possessive of her food around them. Because of this, and the fact that she likes to chase them, she cannot live with a cat. She`s looking for a loving home where she can feel safe and blossom. Adopt Ellie and discover the joy of a loyal friend who brings the best of both worlds. Story
Meet Oreo, a young, energetic dog full of curiosity and playfulness. His friendly demeanor makes him a joy to be around and he is seriously protective of his home and loved ones. Oreo loves to be in the lap of his favorite humans, thriving on attention and interaction. He was given up because his family didn`t have enough time for him. His excitability and intensity make every day an adventure. He weighs 48 pounds and likes agility and getting into mischief. He loves to explore, which sometimes leads him to open doors and run a bit too far from home. His playful nature means he`s a bit jumpy and enjoys a good chew, whether it`s on a toy or, occasionally, something he shouldn`t! Oreo is also quite the digger, always curious about what`s under the surface. With some training, Oreo`s enthusiastic habits can be channeled into positive behaviors. He is eager to be the best he can be. He`ll also need help with leash walking and house training. He also appreciates and seeks companionship because he never wants to be by himself. He`s friendly and playful but rather rough with other dogs and children, so he might do best in a home with adults or older kids who can handle his spirited play. If you`re looking for a loyal companion who will keep you on your toes and cherish every moment with you, Oreo is your perfect match!
