Story
We met Lola at a pet store around 2018. She’s been our lovely golden ever since. Now that we have a toddler, it’s been harder and harder to spend proper time with her so we would love to find another home for her with loving parents. That, and pressure from our Landlord to rehome her. She’s a sweetheart, but does get anxious around smaller children. Great with adults, very cuddly, and loves to play.

Story
Meet Ellie, a young, friendly, and playful dog who loves to explore but is also a bit shy. She weighs 49 pounds and is leash trained and house trained, making her a great companion for both active outings and cozy home life. She`s clever and knows the sit, stay, and come commands. Despite her playful nature, Ellie enjoys her lazy moments but can be jumpy and cautious in new situations. Ellie is a bit timid and fearful around children which is why she was returned so children need to be at least nine years old. Even though she is respectful, friendly and playful with dogs and behaves well at the dog park, she is very possessive of her food around them. Because of this, and the fact that she likes to chase them, she cannot live with a cat. She`s looking for a loving home where she can feel safe and blossom. Adopt Ellie and discover the joy of a loyal friend who brings the best of both worlds. Story
Meet Pulga, a young, vibrant soul still looking for a home. Pulga is a bundle of joy, always ready to engage with a playful and curious spirit. She weighs about 57 pounds and likes running, tugging, toys, chase, and wrestling. She`s smart and quick to learn, already mastering crate and leash training. She`ll need a little help with house training. She knows the come and no commands and is working on down. If she runs away while off leash she`ll come back if you call her. Despite her energy, she loves cuddling and can often be found snuggling on a lap, offering kisses generously. Pulga is a social butterfly, always eager to make friends with other dogs and is friendly and respectful in her interactions but can play a little roughly. Cats? She simply ignores them, making her an easy companion in diverse households. Due to her jumpy nature with occasional nipping when she gets overstimulated, she`ll need to live with children at least 12 years old. Her friendly demeanor makes her a lovable companion for any family. Adopting Pulga means bringing home endless love and lively fun, enriching your life with her sweet, affectionate presence.(tw 6/18/2026)Click `Play` to meet Pulga. This animal has been available at the shelter for more than 30 days and is now considered a VIP.The adoption fee is 50% off! -jc (10/31/25)

Story
Meet Mini, a young, lovable, and energetic dog who is looking for her next home and family and to bring them joy with her playful spirit. Despite her excitable nature, Mini is also shy and cautious, often showing her submissive side in new situations. She will need a gentle and patient family who can give her the time and space to warm up, blossom and show her affectionate side. She definitely has one, which you`ll see as she begins to settle down. She weighs 26 pounds and likes car rides, chase, and running. She has no experience with children and was surrendered because she did not get along with the dog in the home. Her previous adopter suspected that she did not like male dogs. However, she did very well with another dog at her foster home (49 lb, 1 year old female). She was friendly but cautious with a male foster dog (65 lb, 1 year old) at home before returning to the shelter so she seems to be getting more confident now. If you have a dog, you`ll need to bring it to meet her to be sure they get along.Mini is easygoing with cats. She is fully housetrained and crate trained, and walks well on leash although she likes to lead. She becomes a vibrant personality once she sees the leash and her joyous side shows up. She`s truly at her happiest point on walks. Mini is small in size but big on loyalty and affection once she relaxes. She makes an ideal fit for a laid-back household. Please contact her foster, Ram at CAPdogfoster@gmail.com or (281) 202-9076 for more details.
