Story
Beau and Bear are two wonderful 5-year-old brothers whose entire world has always revolved around each other and the people they love. After spending five years in the same loving Texas home, these boys are sadly looking for a new family, and they must have each other in their. new normal.
Beau is a handsome Chocolate Lab mix, while his brother Bear is a beautiful Golden Retriever mix. They may look different and have very different personalities, but their bond is unmistakable.
Beau is the fun-loving, playful brother. He still has plenty of youthful energy and loves toys, running, leaping, and bounding around. But after all that activity, Beau has perfected another skill: being an exceptional snuggler. He loves nothing more than curling up with his people and soaking up their affection.
Bear is the calm and confident brother. He is more laid-back and would much rather relax on the couch than chase after toys. In fact, toys aren't particularly important to Bear—being close to his people is. Bear is the more confident of the two, and Beau looks to him for reassurance and stability. Wherever Bear goes, Beau isn't far behind.
And that's what makes these two so special.
They aren't simply brothers who happen to live together. They are each other's security, companionship, and family. They love spending time together, and although they may occasionally do their own thing, they never stay apart for long.
Beau and Bear were adopted as puppies and spent the first five years of their lives with their family in Texas. They grew up right alongside their family—and when a baby came along, the boys proved what wonderful family dogs they could be. As that baby grew into a rambunctious three-year-old, the boys remained unfazed. They were patient, loving, and simply happy to be part of the family. Sadly, their family's marriage ended, and through no fault of their own, Beau and Bear now need a new home.
They've already lost the family they knew. We don't want them to lose each other, too.
Both boys are: Sweet and loving, Affectionate and people-oriented, Velcro dogs who love being with their humans.
They are also housebroken, Crate trained, Leash trained, Well socialized, and Good with other dogs. They are comfortable around children and Non-aggressive toward people or other dogs
Together, they balance each other beautifully.
Beau and Bear aren't asking for anything extravagant. They simply want what they've always known: a family to love, a safe home, and each other.
Imagine coming home to two happy faces waiting at the door. One ready to show you his latest toy and perhaps demonstrate his jumping skills, while the other quietly settles beside you, whether it's on the floor or the couch.

The boys are currently being fostered in Houston, but can travel to anywhere in the States or even Canada to the right home.
Yards must be fully and adequately fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept invisible or underground fences.
Their adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, GPS tracker, Harness, leash and a high quality nylon Martingale collar.

Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them.
Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible.
