Bosley is a handsome 1-year-old Golden Retriever - Carolina dog mix with a heart as golden as his coat and temperament that comes from two most wonderful breeds. This sweet boy was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas, where he quickly became a staff favorite thanks to his loving personality and gentle nature. Bosley is the total package! He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children, making him an easy addition to almost any family. He absolutely adores being petted and will happily soak up all the affection you can give. Whether it's belly rubs, ear scratches, or cuddling on the couch, Bosley is always ready for some love. One of Bosley's favorite activities is spending time with his daycare buddies. He enjoys playing with other dogs and has excellent social skills. Despite his friendly and playful nature, he also knows how to relax and settle down. His foster family reports that he does exceptionally well when left alone for long hours and is trustworthy and well-behaved in the home. Bosley is the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into family life. He's affectionate without being demanding, social without being overwhelming, and always eager to make new friends. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. Unfortunately, with our son away at college, we can no longer provide the level of interaction and activity that Travis enjoys. Goldie is a sweet, loving girl looking for a calm and caring forever home. She is friendly, loyal, playful, and great with other dogs, kids, and pretty much everybody she meets. She loves attention, relaxing nearby, and being part of the family. I acquired Goldie a few years ago, and she has been an important part of my life ever since. Rehoming her is a very difficult decision, and if we weren’t moving out of the country and dealing with family health issues, we would absolutely love to keep her. Goldie is potty trained, crate trained, and very low maintenance overall. She does not chew up furniture or belongings and has great house manners. She loves playing ball, going on walks, and going on adventures anytime she gets the chance. She would do best in a home where she can continue getting lots of love, attention, and time outdoors. I’m looking for someone responsible, patient, and committed to giving her a safe, happy, permanent home. She truly deserves the best.
