Story
Winston is a 1 year and 5 month old Golden Retriever we rescued in December. He is incredibly affectionate, playful, and loves being around his people. He is great with our other Golden and enjoys having a canine companion.Winston did not receive consistent training in his previous home, so he needs continued leash work and structure. He is smart and eager to please, just still learning. His biggest challenge is separation anxiety. He struggles with closed doors and long periods alone and does not do well in a crate, though he does better behind a gate. He would thrive in an active home with someone present often. He requires a closed or fenced outdoor space. Due to a worsening heart condition, I can no longer meet his needs. We are committed to finding him the loving, stable home he deserves.

Story
Meet George 💛 George is an 8-year-old Golden Retriever who proves that every dog is an individual—with his own personality, preferences, and a few quirks. He’s not your typical easygoing golden, but that’s part of what makes him special. George knows what he likes and isn’t shy about it—he can be a little persnickety and prefers to do things on his own terms. He’s looking for a patient, understanding owner who’s willing to work with him, guide him, and help him continue becoming his best self. George can show some reactivity toward other dogs, but he is currently living with dogs in his foster home and coexisting successfully. With proper introductions, structure, and continued support, he can do well in the right environment. What George really needs is someone who appreciates him for who he is—quirks and all—and is committed to building a strong, trusting relationship with him. In return, you’ll get a loyal, unique companion with plenty of personality and heart. If you’re experienced, patient, and looking for a golden with a little extra character, George might just be your guy 🐾

Story
Meet Teddy! 💛🐾 If you're looking for a puppy with a heart of gold, look no further than Teddy. This handsome 6-month-old Golden Retriever/Labrador mix has already overcome more than most dogs ever will. Teddy was born with severe hip abnormalities and underwent bilateral Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgeries at a young age. The good news? His prognosis is excellent. With the surgeries behind him, his hips should not significantly impact his quality of life, and he should be able to enjoy all the adventures a young dog should—running, playing, hiking, swimming, and making lifelong memories with his family. Like any large-breed dog, keeping him lean and starting joint supplements early will help support his joints as he grows and ages. His foster says it best: "He's an angel (for the most part)! 😆 He's great with kids, other dogs, fully potty trained, crate trained, and knows a few commands. He does have an internal alarm clock set for 5:00 a.m., but he'll happily go outside to do his business and then head right back to his crate until breakfast time on the weekends. And if there's a stick anywhere in the yard... Teddy will absolutely find it and happily chew it into a thousand tiny pieces!" Teddy truly is the complete package. He's incredibly social, wonderful with children, loves other dogs, and already has the house manners that most puppies are still working toward. Whether he's playing outside, learning something new, or proudly carrying his latest stick around the yard, Teddy approaches every day with pure joy. His medical history is just one small chapter of his story—not the story itself. Teddy is a happy, resilient puppy with so much life ahead of him, and he's looking for a family who will continue to support him with a healthy lifestyle, lots of love, and maybe a few extra sticks to chew. If you're searching for a loyal best friend with an incredible spirit and an even bigger heart, Teddy is ready to prove that the best dogs don't let a little adversity slow them down.

Story
Charlie has been a long time loved member of our family. My wife got him as a puppy when in college. Since the birth of our daughter he has had anxiety issues and is not the same happy dog we know. We have tried everything from medication to daily walks/runs but nothing is working, with both of our families living out of state traveling is hard because he doesn’t like to be boarded. While Charlie is very sweet with children we think a home where he is the center of most of the attention is best. He is good with cats and female dogs as well.
