Story
This fun and exciting boy is looking for his an active structured adult home. His new people would have previous experience with a dog who needs patience and time to bond. He is friendly but he aloof and is a dog who may not want to snuggle in your lap, he is independant and likes to explore his environment, he would much rather focus on sniffing around then cuddle time. He will be a great companion for hiking and adventures! He does require a private consult or group class with his adoption. Size: Medium 27.8kg / 61.16 lbs Children: Adult only home pleaseCats: Untested, slow introductions would be recomended Dogs: May do best with dogs of similar size and playstyle

Story
Meet Skipper, a gorgeous young pup who is still learning how to feel safe in this world. Skipper arrived under-socialized, fearful and with very few life skills. He has already made progress in our care, and although many may see these wins as small steps, we know that they are huge milestones for him! With patience and distant encouragement, his personality has been slowly peeking through - especially in moments of excitement, when he surprises us with adorable play bows, bouncy hops, and bursts of zooming around his kennel. In those rare moments, he’s saying in his own way, “you’re my friend,” and earning that trust has been so rewarding for staff and volunteers. Skipper will need a calm, adult-only home that understands fear-based behavior and can move at his pace. He is not suited to apartment or condo living and will need a secure yard or rural placement as he continues to build confidence with harness training and may not be ready for regular walks for some time. He has lived with other dogs before, and we think a confident, people-loving pup could help Skipper out! Cats and small animals are an unknown, but with slow intros, he could enjoy smaller friends, too. We know that his journey will take time (and that we may be asking a lot), but every accomplishment, big or small, will mean the world. If you have a passion for animals, feel-good moments and rewarding challenges, Skipper might be your man!Skipper is:- no kids, looking for adult-only home with secure backyard- unknown with cats and small animals, slow intros required- open to dogs pending successful intro

Story
**Juniper is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**Juniper is a sweet, energetic middle-aged German Shepherd looking for her forever family! She’s searching for a calm home where she can settle in and relax after going on fun new escapades with her people. Juniper is wonderful in the car and will happily lay down in the backseat while she waits for her next adventure! She enjoys getting out to sniff and explore, though she can pull on leash at times. She has lots of energy, loves to dig, and will happily chase a ball, though convincing her to give it back is part of the game! She also entertains herself well with her toys when it`s time to settle down. Juniper has lived successfully with cats and may do well with a feline friend again! She can be selective with other dogs and would be happiest as the only canine in the home. She adores butt scratches, greets new people with enthusiasm, and has been gentle and friendly with kids she’s met. She loves people of all sizes!Due to a history of itchy skin and potential allergies, Juniper will need a special hypoallergenic diet and medication to keep her feeling her best!Juniper is the perfect mix of energetic and snuggly and would make an amazing companion to any family. Come meet her today!Juniper is:- good with kids- open to cats, has successfully lived with before- no dogs
