Meet Ocho! Ocho is a sweet, easygoing boy who loves playing with other dogs and being part of the family. He’s great with kids and does well with dog-savvy cats who are comfortable around dogs. At the end of the day, Ocho settles beautifully in his crate for the night. He’s also not a chewer, which is always a bonus! Ocho is currently working toward a healthier weight with regular walks and a little help watching his diet. He’d love a family who will keep him active and include him in their everyday adventures. If you’re looking for a lovable, friendly companion who gets along with just about everyone, Ocho may be your perfect match!   Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match. ##2812434##

Lucy came home with us in January 2023, when she was just a puppy. Born 11/23/2022, she's three years old and a compact 40 lbs — a soft, curly apricot Goldendoodle with a grin that shows up in every photo we take of her. She is super sweet and endlessly gentle. Lucy is great with kids, other dogs, and cats, and she has never met a person she didn't want to greet. We'll be honest about one thing: Lucy has a little anxiety and likes to be close to her people. She's a shadow — she'll follow you room to room and settle at your feet, and she does best when someone is home rather than being left alone for long stretches. For the right family, that closeness is the best part of her. That's really why we're looking. We've gotten too busy to give her the company she needs, and she deserves a home where she gets it. If you want a devoted, easygoing girl who will love you completely, Lucy is her.
