Milo has been with his family since puppyhood, and as life changed and children came along, they realized that Milo deserves more time and attention than they can give. It’s a loving, thoughtful decision made with Milo’s best interests at heart — because there is truly nothing lacking in this wonderful boy. Milo is fantastic with young children, housebroken, crate trained, and has a calm, well-mannered personality that makes him an ideal family companion. He’s the kind of dog who settles easily, loves being included, and just wants to belong.   Critter Cavalry Rescue will be helping Milo find the perfect match and will be making sure he is neutered and fully up-to-date on vet care on 1/14. From there, he’s ready to step right into a lucky family’s life and become someone’s best friend. Meet Snowball! Snowball is a 3-year-old Doodle mix who is fully vaccinated and ready to find his forever home. Snowball is a good boy who has experienced some inconsistency in his life, and because of that, he’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will give him the time and space he needs to settle in. Following the 3-3-3 rule will be important to help Snowball adjust and truly show his personality. He does best with slow, proper introductions to other dogs, though he would also be perfectly happy being the only dog in the home. A cat-free home is a must for Snowball. With time, structure, and a chance to feel secure, Snowball has the potential to be a wonderful, loyal companion for the right family. If you are interested in adopting Snowball, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. Meet Cooper! Breed: standard poodle. He was matted and had to be shaved down. Age: est 2 years. Weight: est 49lbs, needs to gain some weight. We think he should be about 60lbs. Training: crate & leash trained, doing well with housetraining in his foster home. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes. Good with adults/kids? Yes. Personality: a little shy at first and when in new situations. He warms up to be friendly, playful, and affectionate. He hasn't had many life experiences and s he will need a patient and understanding family as he adjusts to life as a companion. He would do best with a fenced yard and/or another dog in the home. Reason for rescue: breeder retiring. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Training: crate trained, we are working on house and leash training. She will need continued training as she hasn't had many life experiences. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes, in fact, we believe she would do best with another dog in her new home to show her the ropes! Good with adults/kids? Yes, she is shy at first but she is curious. Personality: she is submissive/shy with people, especially at first. Her tail never stops wagging. She wants attention, but she is reluctant to accept it. She is still learning all about life as a companion. Reason for rescue: breeder release, retiring. * A fenced yard is required.She would do best with a confident dog in her new home who can help guide her and show her the ropes. Nina is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. If interested in adding this sweet baby to your family, please message for an adoption application! Adoption fee: $350. Please note: With limited foster homes and many dogs waiting for rescue, we are unable to place dogs on hold. Approved adopters must be ready to move forward.
