Story
🐾 Meet Handsome and Sweet Teddy 🐾 Teddy is being fostered in Markham. Teddy has recently joined the Just Paws family and is settling beautifully into his foster home. He came to us as an owner surrender due to life changes, through no fault of his own. His previous family loved him very much but could no longer give him the time and attention he truly deserves. Now, Teddy is ready for a fresh start and a forever family to call his own. Teddy is a handsome Goldendoodle, approximately 35-40 lbs (to be verified at his vet appointment) and 7 months old (born June 12, 2025). He is a happy, friendly, and affectionate puppy who absolutely adores people and other dogs. Being a young pup, Teddy has lots of energy and will need regular exercise. He enjoys his walks and does very well on leash, but he is not a candidate for off-leash activities. A secure, fenced-in yard is required so he can safely run, play, and burn off his puppy energy. For this reason, condo living is not suitable for Teddy. Teddy would thrive in a home with another playful dog to keep him company. In his foster home, he lives with two foster siblings and gets along wonderfully with them. He truly enjoys canine companionship. This smart boy is fully housetrained and even rings a bell when he needs to go outside! His previous owner enrolled him in PetSmart puppy training, where he learned commands such as sit, stand, come, lay down, and wait. Teddy is eager to please and food-motivated—he loves his meals and treats! Teddy’s foster family absolutely adore him. They report that he has never met a dog or person he doesn’t like—he is genuinely friendly, social, and always thrilled to meet new people. He will make an amazing family dog and is expected to do very well with children. Teddy is not crate trained and would not do well confined in one. However, this is not a concern as he is not destructive. He happily sleeps through the night cuddled up with his humans. Teddy is scheduled to see our vet and will be neutered. He will not be available for adoption until after January 20, and while applications are welcome now, they will not be reviewed until after his neuter. If you believe you can offer Teddy a loving forever home—one where he won’t be left alone for long periods and will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and love—please consider applying for him. Teddy is truly special, and you won’t be disappointed welcoming this joyful boy into your family. 💛🐶 ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

Story
Thank you for your interest in Hubert. He is such a fun loving, energetic, happy, barky boy. He loves people and dogs and life. Some of it he loves a little too much. Well, not too much for him but too much for other dogs. But he is really just a softee who wants to run and play and be chased. Hubert hasn't had the best start in life. He was sold to an elderly owner who wasn't able to manage a happy, energetic dog so Hubert landed in a day care/boarding facility. His owner wasn't able to take him back and the really sad things started happening. He was sold, returned, sold, returned and finally someone took him to the vet. Hubert was really matted and was finally groomed. It was then discovered that he had a terrible ear infection and an infected toe! Once again people had failed him. Off to the vet he went and as soon as he received treatment he felt so much better and his happy came out! He went to live with another family and they really loved him but underestimated how much energy is required when you have a dog like Hubert so SPIN was called. Hubert is just the kind of dog we love! Running, bouncing, barking, playing, snuggling, hugging, what could be better?

Story
Jean-Pierre (JP) is a striking three-year-old Standard Poodle who has made remarkable progress since being found abandoned in Quebec. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was frightened, in pain from an untreated ear infection, and unsure of people. With care, patience, and medical treatment, he started to heal — both physically and emotionally — and showed the sweet, loyal nature that defines him today.

Story
Mags is a young, bright, emotionally big Standard Poodle who has had a busier start to life than most. She grew up in homes that cared about her, but none were quite equipped to manage her energy, her enthusiasm, or her tendency to become overstimulated. After finding herself in a shelter—confused, over-aroused, and unsure how to channel all her excitement—Mags came into SPIN’s care so she could finally get the structure and support she has always needed. She is an affectionate, social girl with a lot of love to give, but she experiences the world at full volume. New places, new people, and outdoor environments can cause her arousal to spike quickly, which leads to jumping, grabbing, and mouthy behaviour. None of this comes from a place of aggression—Mags simply hasn’t been shown how to regulate her emotions.
