She came from a severe backyard breeding situation where many dogs were too terrified or reactive to even be approached. Sunshine was one of the few who allowed herself to be helped and that alone says so much about her heart. Despite everything she's endured including having puppies in that environment who didn't survive Sunshine remains gentle, curious, and full of quiet hope. She truly wants to trust. There isn't a mean bone in her body. She does well with other animals and would benefit from a patient, understanding home that will let her continue to come out of her shell at her own pace. Every small step forward with Sunshine is meaningful, and watching her learn what love and safety feel like is incredibly rewarding. Sunshine didn't get the life she deserved at the start but her future can be different. She's ready for a home that will show her kindness, stability, and the love she's been waiting for. Helping a family member who can no longer take care of him. He is around 5 and still needs to be potty trained. Unfortunately, his owner does not have the time or resources this sweet doggy deserves. He is in the cage most of the day and would appreciate someone who will take him out and give him lots of love. I would take this guy home but I have a cat.
