Story
This stunning 5-year-old Orange Belton English Setter is ready to find a family that understands him. He’s a big boy at about 70 lbs and while we know he is an English Setter, we can only speculate about his bloodlines because of his larger size. Augie is a smart, independent, treat-motivated boy who picks up on training quickly. But he’ll need an adopter with expertise and patience to help him build confidence, especially in new situations. Here’s what makes Augie special:  Low prey drive – no lizard or squirrel-chasing chaos here!  Companions  – he is ok with the company of female dogs his size but honestly people are his favorite, and he doesn’t need another dog in his forever home.  Yard enthusiast – a good-sized, securely fenced yard (6’ fencing) is important for his playtime.  Timid but willing – he may start off a little nervous, but with time, he’ll blossom into a devoted companion. Augie is searching for a kind and experienced adopter who will guide him with love, consistency, and patience. Because of his size and enthusiasm for his people, he’s looking for a home without children or older folks who might be accidentally knocked about by his affectionate nature. Could that be you? Apply today and give this sweet boy the home he’s been waiting for!  March 8, 2026, 1:40 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Gus and I'm one amazing boy, says my foster mom.  I was rescued from a Utah shelter where I was picked up as a stray. They say I am 10 years old, but I still have spurts of puppy energy. I like other dogs and play bow to get their attention. My favorite person in my house though is my 5 year old human brother. I really like all the humans in my house too and am said to be a bit velcro, with a smidge of separation anxiety which is probably the result of being lost or dumped and living on my own for a while before rescue. I am very people and dog friendly, currently living with three Brittanys, age 6-13 and my most perfect home would include humans that are retired or work from home and other friendly dogs to play with and keep me company. I love my walks and am easy to walk on a harness.  I also enjoy stretching my legs at the dog park; if I get uncomfortable, I seek out my foster mom for security and safety. She says my recall is pretty good, but I still need a securely fenced yard that is at least 3.5' - my current fence is 6'. Breakfast shall be served at 7:00 am and I will get you up, not with a loud bark, but more of a muffled constant encouragement. I am still a little on the lean side and food is important! I could eat three times a day. I am crate trained and house trained. Cats are not my friends, but who needs them when you have dogs and people. I currently have full run of the house and am not destructive (only one of the benefits of a senior). I do however love to cuddle with my humans and furniture privileges are a must. I am fully vetted, was neutered and vaccinations up to date and even had a dental.  I do need a little help being lifted into an SUV or truck and sometimes I might need help out too, but mostly I just hop out if it's not too high off the ground. Really and truly, I do sound pretty amazing, don't you think? If your home could use some love, I'm available. March 28, 2026, 3:16 pm

Story
Taco is a sweet, young Setter estimated to be less than 2 years old. Taco was abandoned from a hunting ranch in Idaho. He was found with a crushed crate by the side of the road. Good Sam’s got him safe and to rescue where he is thriving! Taco is affectionate with people and typical activity level for a field ES so he would be good in a family with children older than 5 years old.   Taco loves to play and would be best in a home with another younger dog who shares the same joy of shared tug toys and active play. Since Taco shows some separation anxiety, having another dog(s) or human available for much of the day would be ideal. Taco gets along well with other dogs. Cats are unknown. Taco would enjoy a medium-to-large yard to burn off his energy with a 4–5-foot fence to ensure his safety. Typical of most setters, Taco is quiet in the house and active outside of the house. He is now house trained and has learned some house manners and basic commands. He is still working on his commands as he came into rescue with no training of any kind. Since Taco was dumped in a crate, we have not worked on crate training with him. He does roam the house and yard unattended with two other male dogs without issues of damage to any type of property.  This is quite amazing for a youngster, wouldn’t you agree! Currently Taco is fed several feet away from the other dogs in the house as he was resource guarding upon entry into a home. This behavior has improved vastly with consistent feeding times and food amounts.  Taco rides perfectly in a car and will need additional leash training as he tends to pull a bit with a simple harness. Burning off energy in the yard and hunting rodents is his favorite activity of all.   Taco is neutered and utd on vaccines and tests. Taco Dogler is waiting for his forever home where he can shower his human pack with love and companionship.  Are you ready for a sweet boy with nothing but love in his heart?            March 28, 2026, 3:16 pm
