Hola! My name is TOBIAS and here is some information about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Great Dane mix Age: 3 years approx.  Gender: Male Weight: 79lbs (36kg)  Current Location: GUADALAJARA RESCUE STORY -  I was found wandering in a residential neighborhood. The neighbors wanted to call the local municipal pound, which can be a very dangerous situation for stray dogs in Mexico, as dogs taken there may be euthanized after only a few days if they are not reclaimed or rescued. Fortunately, my rescuers were able to arrange temporary shelter for me with a neighbour, and I later moved to a boarding facility! When I arrived, I was found to be very underweight and had an injured leg. Despite everything I had been through, I showed myself to be a friendly and sweet dog with the hopes for the opportunity to find a loving forever family! TEMPERAMENT - I am a friendly and easygoing dog. I am affectionate and I enjoy interacting with both people and other dogs! I am able to share toys and treats with other pups although I don't like when they get into my food bowl. When this happens, I may show appeasement signals, but I do not become aggressive or fight. I don't bark often but I may sometimes when I play and when I want someone to throw my toy!  ENERGY LEVEL - Medium GETS ALONG WITH: Dogs –  Friendly! I get along well with other dogs Cats – Unknown.  Children – Unknown. PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Yes but I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success!  House trained – Work in progress. I use the garden but frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) Crate Trained – Work in progrss Car rides – I have been calm while riding in cars. Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered and vaccinated. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying to Canada. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. Meet the handsome Crew❤️ Crew was rescued from a mass dog slaughter house. He had been shy and timid but currently he opens his heart to people. He's so gentle and calm!!
