Story
She is the sweetest. About 105 lbs when I weighed her in April. She is a little shy at first but loves attention once she gets to know you. She is not a big kisser and does not drool much so that is great for those that do not like saliva. She just started her 3rd period on 12/14/2025. Born 5/25/2024. She gets along with other dogs and children. She will do well in just about any home environment where she gets lots of cuddles and attention!

Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hello, hello! My name is Zeus! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am, quite possibly, the handsomest boy ever! HOW OLD ARE YOU? We estimate that I was born in late 2020/early 2021. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a Great Dane! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am a svelte and stunning 130 pounds. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am tall and picturesque, with long legs and a beautiful silky, grey coat with white markings on my feet, belly, and neck. Some might say my eyes are my best feature. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I eat the lamb Taste of the Wild dog food. As a special treat, I love hot dogs. And, if you are so inclined to expand the available options for treats, I would certainly not turn you down! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I look much more serious than I am. I am gentle giant and a lap dog at heart. Making you laugh every day is my goal! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: I am happiest wherever my human is. I’m easy to please—just a walk, chasing a ball in the yard, and snuggling on the couch sounds perfect to me! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Anything soft with a squeaker. Those are the MOST fun! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know sit, come, and lay down. I like to be in my dog bed, so I have perfected the trick of going there if you tell me. WHAT SCARES YOU? I am really not a fan of being left alone and loud noises. I have some separation anxiety that could improve over time as I get more comfortable and with training. But, for now, I ask that you are patient with me. I just want to be with you! HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have met lots of kids, and I have done great! I am very gentle, but do not fully grasp how big I am, so I would probably do best in a home with older children. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven’t met any. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love them! My foster sister is the one in charge and I always listen to her. I get to snuggle with her when she lets me and we love to play chase in the yard. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Oh that’s easy… I would love to be on the couch with my people. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am in excellent heath! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and dad and dog foster sister, who is a cattle dog mix. I love my foster dad best, but I’ve never met a person I didn’t like. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I am in my crate while I learn to not be so anxious by myself. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my crate. I don’t love going in there at night, but I am a good boy, so I follow instructions. I have also slept on a bed on the floor of my foster parents’ room a few times. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Yes, I love going for walks! I’m still working on leash manners and do a lot of bumping into my humans because there is so much to smell and the world is so exciting! DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I don’t want to be left alone, so I bark when the humans leave and I have to go in my crate. Maybe you and I can work on this together? ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Heck yeah! I’ve had no accidents in the house. Just show me where to go and I’m on it! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I have had a few baths and will get in the tub when asked. I don’t like it, but I wait patiently until it’s done and then get the zoomies. I also waded into a creek once on a walk… that was pretty fun! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that I can cuddle with them on the couch! Human contact (i.e., lots of cuddles and pets) is the best part of my day. I also like that someone from my house is usually working from home, so I have some company. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER? I am so excited for what lies ahead for me. Perhaps you and I can explore what the future would look like together? I can’t wait to spend forever with you! **ZEUS’S ADOPTION FEE IS $200** If you are interested in adopting Zeus, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
I found this puppy and his siblings behind my work in Stockton. I found his siblings homes but can't seem to find him one😞 He and his siblings were definitely abandoned but not malnourished. Im assuming someone's dog got pregnant accidentally and kept the puppies til the playful stage. He is sweet and quiet. Does need attention and has been hurt before (he and his siblings hid the first days with them and were scared by any fast movements). He's well behaved but definitely still learning (he's a puppy). He is still in potty training but doing well. Does well with other playful animals (cats and dogs). Loves car rides and pup cups! 🧡

Story
Meet Echo – The Sweetest Deaf Australian Shepherd Puppy! Do you need a darling puppy to bring joy and love into your life? Echo might be just the one! This adorable 12-14 week-old, blue eyed, 18-pound Australian Shepherd is a stunning white and merle boy who looks like he’s purebred. Found dumped on the edge of town, Thankfully, a kind family has taken him in and are fostering him. Echo was likely abandoned because he’s deaf. But don’t let that stop you—he’s a quick learner and has already made incredible progress! He’s well on his way to being potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. His foster family has even started training him with a vibration collar, and he responds beautifully to signals like flipping the porch light off and on to call him back when going outside to potty at night time. Echo is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be neutered and receive his rabies shot when he’s a little older. He’s looking for a family with breed experience and preferably familiarity with deaf dogs to help him thrive. If you’re interested in giving this special boy a forever home, please contact us to learn more about Echo. He’s sure to steal your heart and bring love and joy into your home!If you are interested in this dog or would like more information please send me an Adoption QuestionnaireThank youAdoption Fees For Dogs Start At $ 400- 500 Medium & Large Mixed Breed Adult Dogs: $400 plus Medium & Large Pure Breed Adult Dogs or Puppies: $450.00 plus Medium & Large Mixed Breed Puppies: $400 plus Small Mixed Breeds (Puppies & Adults): $450 plus Purebred & Designer Dogs (Puppies & Adults): $500 plus (Fees subject to change) Adopt Today! Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
