Story
💗 Meet Marley – Your Playful, Big-Hearted Girl!Marley is a stunning 1-year-old Great Dane with a zest for life and a personality as big as her paws! This active, fun-loving girl came to us alongside her partner after their previous family fell on hard financial times following an unexpected litter. Marley is the total package—she’s smart, affectionate, and already has a great foundation. She listens well to commands, loves a good game of fetch, and never says no to a giant dog bone. In her previous home, she absolutely loved trips to the dog park and would thrive with an active family who can keep up with her playful energy.Marley has undergone a gastropexy at the time of her spay to help prevent bloat (a common concern in large breeds), giving her adopters some added peace of mind. She will be placed as a foster-to-adopt while we monitor her post-op recovery. She does have some mammary tumors that will be rechecked about 12 weeks after surgery—our hope is they resolve on their own, but if surgical removal is needed, H.A.L.O. will cover the cost.Temperament-wise, Marley has done wonderfully! She tested well with dogs, cats, and older children. Due to her size and occasionally “pushy” enthusiasm, we are recommending a home with kids 8 and up.Marley is looking for a home familiar with Great Danes or one that understands the unique needs of giant breeds—especially when it comes to diet and bloat prevention.Marley is available for adoption either with her partner Angelo ($600 total if adopted together) or separately ($400 adoption fee per dog). Here at the shelter, we have chosen to house them apart to help Marley build confidence on her own, as she tended to rely heavily on him. We also want to ensure she has the best chance of finding a home, even if a family isn’t quite ready to take on two giant dogs at once.If you’re ready for a loyal, playful companion who will keep you smiling, Marley might just be your girl 💕Requirements: Martingale Collar; XXL Breed Knowledge or History; Foster-To-Adopt (Mammary Mass Recheck)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Story
Angelo is a 1-year-old Great Dane who truly believes he’s a lap dog—and honestly, we’re not here to tell him otherwise. This sweet, affectionate boy came to us with his partner after their previous family faced financial hardship, and he’s now ready to find a forever home where he can soak up all the love he deserves.Angelo is a well-mannered, housebroken boy who already knows commands like “sit” and listens well. He absolutely loves attention and will happily climb into your lap (all 100+ pounds of him!) for cuddles. When he’s not snuggling, you can find him happily chewing on a large dog bone or chasing after his favorite tennis ball.Like Marley, Angelo will thrive in a home that understands Great Danes—their size, their needs, and their big, loving personalities. While his partner Marley did undergo a gastropexy at the time of her spay, Angelo did not receive this surgery due to the healing process being difficult to manage in a shelter setting, so his future family should be knowledgeable about bloat risks and proper feeding routines for giant breed dogs.Angelo tested well with other dogs and children, but because he showed signs that he will likely chase cats, we are recommending a no-cat home unless the adopter is very experienced with slow, structured introductions.Angelo is available for adoption either with Marley ($600 total as a pair) or separately ($400 each individually). At the shelter, we have them housed separately to help Marley gain independence, as she leaned heavily on him. This also allows each of them the opportunity to find a home, even if adopting two giant dogs at once isn’t feasible. If you’re looking for a gentle giant who will be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your best friend, Angelo is ready to fill that role 💙Requirements: Martingale Collar; XXL Breed Knowledge or HistoryAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.
