Meet Hero – a lovable, larger-than-life pup looking for his very own hero! Don’t be fooled by his photos; Hero is a whopping 75-80 pounds of pure, giant puppy energy! This sweet guy is seeking someone with experience in handling large breeds to help guide him toward mastering his manners and leash skills. If you're ready to be leaned on (literally – he’s a "lean in for love" kind of guy), you’re in for plenty of affection. Hero loves exploring the yard, lounging on the couch, and gnawing away at his favorite chewy bones. He thinks playtime should be an ongoing event, but he’s learning that it’s important to mind his p's and q's. With a strong prey drive, Hero is not the right fit for a home with kitties or small animals. He’s lived with other dogs in the past, so any dog introductions will be required to make sure your dog is just as into Hero as you are! Despite being a lot to handle at times, Hero is a sweet, bright boy who’s all about earning a snack or two! He’s motivated by tasty treats and thrives with consistency – whether that’s in training, patience, or love. Hero is patiently waiting for someone to be his guiding hero and bring him home. Story
Roman is a handsome one year old black Great Dane male. He is still very much a puppy with a puppy brain. Roman is a sweet boy with the most soulful eyes you have ever seen! He is a gentle boy who attaches quickly to people. Roman enjoys quiet walks with his foster parents and helping out around the house. Walks are getting better w practice on a leash. Roman has a few quirks that he needs his potential adopters to be aware of. - he has bloated, his stomach has been tacked but in situations of high stress he is a bloat risk and will need to be monitored throughout his life - Roman has shown some food and resource guarding with other dogs. He will need to be fed separately from other dogs in the home and any high value food items like treats will need to be fed with dogs separated - Roman is a bit unsure of life and how to live like a "normal" dog. He seeks the guidance of the adult in his life and will need a calm, strong, experienced giant breed owner to help him figure all of this out (rescue experience preferred) - Roman is good with other dogs but is still figuring out how to play, he does best with confident, female dogs - Roman needs SLOW socialization and exposure to new things once he has built trust with his adopter. Molly Grace-"Molly Moose" is doing great in foster care. She totally reliable when left alone. Does like to know though where you are. She wants to be with her people! She loves other dogs, people, children! She has an affectionate and playful personality and prefers woman over men but she will approach men after being reassured. She loves to rub her head on the foster's mom face in a gentle manner! Came from a home with children! She enjoys sleeping with you and being as close as possible. Very well behaved dog! Knows sit, back, down commands, still working on leash skills. Kind of picky with food, and foster home is working with her to gain weight. Would be a great family pet! She is listening well to commands. Does not need to be crated. Playful with toys, loves car rides, and is working on leash training. She would love to find her forever family and to sleep with her people, and is great with kids! She can be in a house with other dogs!
