Goofy does well with most of the dogs he has come into contact with through our fenced in yards. If you have another dog(s), a meet and greet is necessary. Meet Mr. Bruce!Mr. Bruce is a super large, super handsome Great Dane/St. Bernard mix that was recently surrendered into our care through no fault of his own. Bruce is still settling in here at FDHS, but aside from his stature, he’s already making a BIG impression and has quickly become a staff favorite. We were told that Bruce previously lived as a family dog and has done well with children and other animals. Although he’s typically very friendly and docile with everyone he meets, Bruce can be a little uneasy around new men. Bruce is generally very well-mannered. He walks nicely on leash, keeps a clean kennel, and doesn’t get too bothered by his more "enthusiastic" canine neighbors. This big hunk of handsome would likely do well in just about any type of home environment. Oh. Almost forgot. One important little detail about Bruce…he’s an escape artist. This guy can hop fences and bust through doors like the Kool-Aid Man, so he’ll need a home that can safely supervise his outdoor adventures. Bruce is really a good boy and we know his perfect match is out there!**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention**

Story
Sage is 3 years old, smart and loving with LOTS of energy. Along with the husky and great Dane mix, she has some cane Corso in her too. She was taken into our home because the home she was born into was extremely unhealthy. We felt we could offer her better but it was a situation of biting off more than we could chew. Due to medical reasons in the family, she needs more training and exercise than we can provide. She is stronger than the main person in charge of her care and that adds to the difficulties. She gets along with most everyone who lives (4 kids 4 cats and 1 med. dog) and comes to our house but she has had one bad incident with a neighbors small dog, which was our tipping point to feeling it's time to surrender so that nothing worse happens, though we love her dearly. She needs a big yard where she can run to her hearts content and someone who has the physical strength required to assist in training and making sure she can be controlled if her exciteable drive takes over.
