Looking for a fenced in yard to play in! He loves to be outside but unfortunately our house is busy with four kids in sports and we just don’t have the time he deserves. He is potty trained and also kennel trained (will send crate with him). He does well on a leash and knows basic commands.

Story
Hello handsome! Meet Rip!Rip is an absolute showstopper of a Great Dane! He recently came to FDHS after his previous owner could no longer care for him. Even with all the changes he’s been through, Rip has been settling in with a calm, easygoing attitude that’s made him a fast favorite among staff. This big guy has experience living with kids, cats and other dogs. However, in his previous home he did not get along with male dogs, so we’re keeping that in mind as we look for the right fit. We’re hopeful neutering may help ease some of that tension over time, but for now, a home without male dogs will be the safest and most comfortable option for him. Around people, Rip has been nothing but sweet. He enjoys attention, handles well for staff and walks nicely on leash for a dog his size.Rip is incredibly lovable, but we always remind potential adopters that Great Danes come with their own set of unique needs. They’re loyal, goofy and wonderful companions, but they require space, structure, resources and someone who understands life with a giant breed. A little research goes a long way in making sure he finds a forever home perfect for himIf you’re a fan of gentle giants, have done your Dane homework and are ready to share your home (and your couch) with a seriously handsome companion, Rip is ready for his happily ever after!

Story
Dane is a stunning blue merle great dane mix. He is about 8 months old and great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. He was rescued from a small rural shelter where he was slated to be euthanized due to time and space. He is a chill dude who likes to nap, go on walks and hang with his friends. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue(copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95
