Story
Meet Johnny! He is around 9-10 months old and 65 lbs, possibly a Lab/Dane mix and ready to find his forever home! This sweet guy was found as a stray by Lake Hefner with his sister June when they were still small puppies. They have received all the vet care they need and have grown into great doggos, ready to find homes of their own. Johnny is house and crate trained and does great on a leash! He knows sit and is leaning to play fetch. He loves to be in the backyard, chasing squirrels in the yard and telling the birds to get off his lawn. He is a sweet boy but, like many dogs and people, he takes a minute to warm up to strangers and other dogs. He would do great as an only dog or in a home with a non-dominant dog friend. He loves to go on walks, snuggle up by his people, and get his back and belly rubbed. Johnny does resource guard and does great eating in his kennel. Johnny has a lot to offer a dog-loving person or family that can give a rescue dog the love and patience they need to adjust to a new family and home. You can send inquiries to our adoptions team at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application Johnny is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and heart worm negative. HIs adoption fee is $150.

Story
Meet Miss Stella! She’s the goofiest 50-pound lap dog you’ll ever meet! Stella is somewhere between 2 and 3 years old, overcoming an initial start of being chained in a backyard for her first year of life. Since joining the rescue, she passed a training evaluation and participated in basic obedience classes. Even without practice, she will sit on command and for any meal, eager to please and connect with you! She would do great with another dog that has a more mellow temperament, as she’ll bring enough action for two dogs! We are unsure about interaction with cats as she hasn't had any exposure to them in her current foster home. Stella is happy to travel with you to any destination, she rides great in the car and is content to look out the window as you go. Her only two needs are an active & social home and comfort during thunderstorms. Her storm anxiety is mild and not destructive, but she would definitely enjoy knowing you’re close when the thunder starts rumbling. Last thing to know about Stella — you’ll know she trusts you the moment she wraps her arms around you for a hug! They’re a classic feature of this lovable pup!
