On one of the coldest weekends in January I found my young self abandoned, my person nowhere to be found. I searched but was chased off time and time again. Then one Sunday am, the warmer of the two days at 15 degrees, Desperate and freezing, I could go no further. “Go home“ the man told me. But where was that? I would not go. I sat at the door making a sound like a dove. Cooing, soft and mournful. How do you ignore that? The man let me in. I crashed slept and slept. Long story short, this nice couple is now taking care of me and Fostering me until we find my perfect “Forever Home.” My specifics are… my name is Tokyo. I’m a bully type breed. 12-18 mos. 70 pounds, male, strong, powerful, athletic, and prefer men. I’m good with people, friendly, no aggression, energetic, but can also relax. She’s kennel trained and does really well, only having accidents if she’s left too long (which is totally understandable). Around the house, she’s an easy and respectful guest. She’s good with other dogs overall, but she can sometimes be a little pushy in play and doesn’t always notice when another dog has had enough. With the right canine friend—especially one who can give her a polite correction—she’ll learn quickly! Jelly could benefit from continued leash work and advanced obedience training, but the foundation is already there. She’s eager to please and will thrive with consistency and love.
