Story
Hello this is so hard to do but I think it’s in the best interest of Cleopatra who is a sweet lap dog girl who I think needs a quieter more predictable environment, where she can be the baby that she is. I feel bad that she is living with us when she is clearly not comfortable. We adopted her at 2 years old and she has always had a skittish nature but she has gotten progressively less tolerant of living with our other animals and is very jumpy and nervous to the point where it can start conflict. I hope to find her a better fit before something happens that i can not fix. If you have the space for this timid beauty please consider reaching out. I’d like to see her happy and relaxed.

Story
**It is very important to reserach the breed if you are not familiar with them, as livestock guardians have their own set of idiosyncracies that need to be considered. Reminder: Anatolians are NOT German Shepherds, but instead are a very different breed. SOCIAL MEDIA HASHTAG:  #hattietheanatolianshepherd AGE:  1.5yrsWEIGHT: 90-100lbsWORKING LGD:  NODOGS:  GoodDOG RESTRICTIONS:  NO same sized femalesCATS:  Unknown but may be too playful for themCHILDREN: Uncertain but may unintentionally knock down small childrenOTHER ANIMALS:  Unknown (birds, chickens, livestock, exotics, etc)FENCED YARD REQUIRED:  YesGOOD OFF LEASH: NO - ROAMER/RUNNERGROOMING/SHEDDING NEEDS:  HighMEDICAL ISSUES:  NoneMEDICATIONS:  Anti-anxiety medsSPECIAL NEEDS:  Can clear fences so can't be left alone outside; can break out of cratesANXIETY:  Some separation anxiety; combination of medication and canine friends helps significantly.BARKING:  HighEXPERIENCED OWNER NEEDED: YesCRATE TRAINED:  No - breaks out; makes anxiousHOUSE TRAINED:  Not completely; needs continued work but is almost there!GOOD IN CAR:  Yes; can get excited sometimesFUN FACTS:  Hattie is the girl that everyone loves, stealing the show wherever she goes. She's a big hit with everyone and she, in return, adores all. She can sometimes get too excited and hug with enthusiasm, but we're working on that because she's a big girl who is still growing. Hattie loves dogs and would be very lonely and more anxious without them. She has a heart of gold and really cares about her people and friends, sticking by your side as you go through your daily adventures. Hattie enjoys hugs, gives very gentle kisses and takes her treats/meds gently, as well..to boot, she's an excellent alarm clock, so you'll never oversleep! She loves to play and run around the yard with her best buds, tongue hanging out and incredibly happy; a playful buddy would make her very happy, for she would be very sad as an only dog.  **It is very important to research the Anatolian Shepherd breed if you are not very familiar with them, as they are not a breed for everyone. While Hattie is a lovely, gentle, happy girl, the breed does have it's own idiosyncracies that need to be understood and considered, such as running, roaming, barking, and other animals.***Hattie will need to be surpervised while outdoors during the transition to her new home. She will also need to continue house training and her anti-anxiety meds, to which she has responded very well. She is a strong girl, so her new family must be comfortable with this. A 6ft fence is required, and she can never be trusted off leash, even for short distances. ##2355048##

AGE: Approx 4yrsWEIGHT: 120lbsWORKING LGD:  NO - family pet only DOGS:  GoodDOG RESTRICTIONS:  NO Large or XL males CATS:  UnknownCHILDREN: UnknownOTHER ANIMALS (birds, farm animals, etc): Unknown FENCED YARD REQUIRED:  Yes - 6ft GOOD OFF LEASH:  No - ROAMER/RUNNER GROOMING/SHEDDING NEEDS:  HighMEDICAL ISSUES: Was a light heartworm positive but has been treated and now heartworm negative. MEDICATIONS: Anxiety meds for separation anxiety SPECIAL NEEDS: Severely abused. Will require patience, compassion, and committment. Zero aggression - A very kind dog but terribly afraid of people and tries to get away. ANXIETY:  Very afraid of people and will run and/or hide. Afraid of storms but just wants to be with you.BARKING:  High - Extremely LOUD EXPERIENCED OWNER NEEDED:  Yes CRATE TRAINED:  Yes but will break out HOUSE TRAINED:  Yes GOOD IN CAR:  Yes. Afraid. FUN FACTS: Theo was severely abused. Upon entry into rescue he hid in a corner, his back to us, and shook hard. He's come a long way, however, and does well meeting people, but he is slow to approach. He has developed separtion anxiety and is currently taking medication for that so he doesn't get into anything while nobody is home - otherwise he's extremely well behaved. He loves his people very much, and is devoted. Due to his fears, however, especially with changes into a new home, he will require commitment, devotion, compassion, and patience. He will not be a dog that is snuggly and kissy or wrapped up in his new family, due to his need to learn to trust. He will take a significant amount of time to learn and to establish acceptance of his new life, but he is SO worth it. Theo is a VERY KIND and GENTLE dog with a soft, loving heart. He has absolutely ZERO aggression. He's also highly intelligent. He requires a 6ft fence for playtime and to be on a leash at ALL times when not in the fenced area due to his fears and his breed - NO EXCEPTIONS. He will also need someone who can handle his strength for times when he might be afraid on a leash. Theo loves his canine companions and would be unhappy in a home without other dogs, but he will need gentle introductions b/c he'll be afraid. No dominant males, please. He loves to play and highly depends on his canine friends. Theo LOVES treats and food, and he is very mild mannered when taking them from you. He loves his morning and evening treat and runs to the kitchen and sits handsomely when he knows it's time. He's a fun boy with a tremendous smile, and he also talks to you at times. Theo is devoted to those he loves and appreciates their kindness. He is a lovely boy with an innocent and very sweet disposition. ##1311506##

Story
Meet Auggie!  Auggie is a dog’s dog. He absolutely adores other pups and will happily shadow them all day—Penny is his idol! While he loves humans (especially teens), dogs are his favorite companions. With cats, he’s a “live and let live” kind of guy. With kids, he’s gentle but clumsy—think giant toddler energy. Auggie is looking for a family who can keep up with his big brain, bigger body, and biggest heart. He’ll thrive in a home with another playful pup, a tall fence, and humans who don’t mind being adored (after his dog buddy, of course). If you’re ready to bring home a loyal shadow, a high-jump champion, and a goofy best friend rolled into one, Auggie is waiting for you!   He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Auggie is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT AUGGIE!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit. August 20, 2025, 12:33 pm
