Story
Currently located in: Tennessee Adoptable in: All continental 48 United States (transport is available anywhere!) Good with dog: No thanks! She is dog selective so she would do best as the only dog. Good with cats: No thanks! She is too big & playful for cats. Good with kids: Yes! Just keep in mind she can sometimes be unaware of how big she really is so she could knock a small child over accidentally. As always adult supervision is required. Crate trained: Yes! House trained: Yes! Meet Millie Mae – Your Goofy, Gorgeous Gentle Giant! 🐾 Millie Mae is a stunning ~3-year-old Great Dane with a heart as big as her paws. This sweet, smart, and delightfully goofy girl is ready to find her perfect forever home! Millie has never met a stranger—she absolutely adores people. Whether it’s snuggling in bed, handing out slobbery kisses, or politely taking treats (she’s incredibly gentle!), she’s happiest when she’s by your side. She already knows her manners and commands—and will gladly show them off, especially if treats are involved. Giving paw is her personal favorite! This leggy beauty is as playful as she is loving. She has a hilarious obsession with toys—especially honking pig toys—and will keep you entertained with her silly antics. True to her Great Dane nature, Millie has no idea just how big she is, so a large couch (and a sense of humor!) is highly recommended if you’d like to keep a seat for yourself. Millie Mae is: Dog selective and would do best as the only dog in the home Not a match for cats (she just wants to play… but doesn’t understand her size!) Great with kids, though her lack of spatial awareness means supervision is important Excellent with horses, where her natural herding instincts shine Crate trained and LOVES her crate—it’s her safe, happy place (a 54” crate will be required) Millie is a slim, elegant girl with legs for days, but she’s also a big personality who will thrive with a confident, dog-savvy adopter—ideally someone familiar with Great Danes—who can provide structure, guidance, and remind her that—despite her opinions (did we mention she's sassy and will her voice be heard)—she is not actually in charge. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining companion who will fill your home with love (and maybe take over your couch), Millie Mae might just be your perfect match. Millie Mae is an incredible dog who just needs the right home. She’s been waiting, and dogs like her—big, dog-selective, misunderstood goofballs—often get overlooked. But the right person will see what we see: a loyal, hilarious, loving best friend who will give you her whole heart (and probably take over your entire couch). If you think you are the right match for Millie Mae, please apply to adopt here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1doqwbKyo7ZFi9Wq2ss-et4DLqM7esQfvEUdXVZBnA98/viewform?edit_requested=true&pli=1 Her adoption fee is $650, this includes vetting, transport (we typically can get within 1-2 hours of most places) and our animals all go home with an adoption bag to help them transition to their new home! We will NEVER ask or accept funds until your pets are in your hands. Please beware of scams! All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their fur-ever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non-family personal references, a home video tour, and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send a video to our email or Facebook upon submitting an application; this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview. You must be an approved adopter to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters! Questions? Please email whiskersfunds@gmail.com or message us on Facebook! Story
Breaker is up for adoption in TX, NE and PNW (excluding MA)! Meet Breaker – Your Adventure Buddy in the Making! Breaker is a handsome Great Dane mix a little over a year old who is ready to find an active, committed family to call his own. At around 65 pounds, he’s a wonderful blend of big-dog presence and goofy puppy charm. Breaker is currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, but he can be transported to the Pacific Northwest and the Northeast United States for the right home. Breaker thrives on activity and he still has that classic puppy energy, so he’s looking for a family that understands the importance of positive correction, consistency, and continued training to help him grow into the best version of himself. With the right guidance, Breaker is eager to learn and please. One of Breaker’s favorite things in the world is going on adventures. He absolutely loves riding in the car and would be thrilled to tag along for hikes, outings, road trips, or any fun day spent exploring with his people. Water is another big favorite—splashing, wading, and cooling off are right up his alley. When playtime rolls around, Breaker is all in. He loves toys of all kinds and enjoys playing with dogs his own size. Most of all, Breaker wants to be with his people. He would happily spend the entire day with his family, whether that means being on the go or just hanging out together. If you’re an active household looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion to share life’s adventures, Breaker may be the perfect match for you. Story
Meet Boone – A Gentle Soul Ready for a Fresh Start Boone is a striking Great Dane and Black Mouth Cur mix at 65 pounds with soulful eyes and a quiet, thoughtful demeanor. Rescued after being abandoned on the roadside, Boone's past suggests he was used as a hunting dog and likely spent much of his life confined to a kennel. This history has left him shy and cautious at first, but with time, patience, and kindness, Boone reveals his deeply affectionate side. Once he begins to trust, Boone becomes a devoted companion who craves gentle affection and enjoys peaceful moments with his person. He thrives in a calm environment and takes comfort in the presence of other dogs—he gets along wonderfully with canine companions and would benefit from a home with another friendly dog to help boost his confidence. Currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, Boone is looking for a foster or forever home in Central Texas only. He needs a loving, understanding family who can help him continue to blossom at his own pace. His ideal adopter would be someone familiar with hounds or someone who appreciates the gentle, loyal nature of these incredible breeds. If you're a hound enthusiast or simply someone with a kind heart and a quiet home, Boone may be the perfect match for you. He’s not just looking for a home—he’s looking for someone who sees his potential and will offer the love and patience he’s never known before. Boone is ready to start again. Are you the one to help him heal? To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link.
