🐾 Meet Clyde! 🐾 This large, handsome beast is Clyde, a full-blooded Great Dane just over a year old. He came to KVPP in a very malnourished state, but after months of TLC in his foster home, he’s healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home! Clyde is a sweet, loving boy who adores all people and wants to play with every dog he meets. He’s fully potty trained and would thrive in a home with a large, fenced yard and other large, playful dogs to help him practice manners. Important note: Clyde is deaf, so he will require a patient adopter with experience in deaf dogs or large breed dogs—no exceptions. Training commands takes a little longer, but he’s highly treat-motivated and has already made great progress. Clyde is a curious, clumsy, giant toddler who will explore anything in reach, especially food or drinks left out. His foster mom says he’s a lovable “giant toddler” you can’t leave unattended—but he gets away with everything because he’s so sweet! Clyde would not be suited for homes with small children or elderly adults, as he still doesn’t realize his size. This sweet and cuddly boy is estimated to be between 4-5 years old. His background is fairly unknown, but what we do know is he was rescued by the animal shelter from his original abusive household when he was around 1 year old. He was emaciated and had a deep fear of men with beards. He was later adopted by a family with young children and after around a year of living with them he was placed in foster care with us for the last 2 years as he was not doing well with there kids. He has been an incredibly loved foster in our home and loves being around other dogs and has a healthy tolerance towards cats. He has healed immensely from his fear of men (although a female household may still be best for him permanently). Due to his background he desires strict normalcy in his daily routine. Constant interactions with new people and environments has created a very stressful environment for him which is why we are no longer able to continue his fostering.

Meet Stella. This beautiful girl is the biggest baby you’ll meet. She is well mannered, loves everyone she meets and all other animals she interacts with. Her favorite hobbies are chewing on soft toys and cuddling. She is low energy and happy as long as she has people to love. Think you’re done petting her? Think again. Stella will politely tell you how much she loves you and getting your attention as she whines and inches closer to you. As a foster, I’ve never been so in love with a dog!

Atlas was born in July of 2024, we picked him up from a reputable breeder and he is AKC registered as a pure bread Great Dane with both a Merle and harlequin coat. He loves people, is very talkative, likes going on walks and kills beetles for us. He would love to be a lap dog, but will not get on furniture without permission. He's great with our kids and is not aggressive towards any other animals (he does get excited but never mean). We feed him salmon and potato dog food from Sam's Club. He's allergic to something that we havent quite pin pointed, but what he eats now does not trigger his allergies. He's crate trained (XXL crate included if you want) nd potty trained. He can sit and shake. He is also very easy to walk with a gentle leader. He's a good watch dog- he'll bark but only 2-3x. Honestly, he is a very good boy and it kills me to rehome him. He deserves a good life.
