Story
Meet June – A Graceful Soul in Great Dane Form   There are dogs… and then there is June. A vision in brindle and white, this 3-year-old, 100-pound Great Dane is the embodiment of quiet majesty and gentle strength. With her long, elegant stride and serene presence, June moves through the world like a gazelle—light on her feet, yet grounded in love.  Rescued by a small town animal control officer, this girl was in a neglect situation and her life was spared from more years of a sad existence.  Today you would never know her heart and soul had been so mistreated. June has not only captured hearts—she has healed them as well as her own. In her foster home, she has proven to be a gentle treasure: housebroken, well-mannered, and endlessly affectionate. She delights in the company of other dogs and finds pure joy in the simple pleasure of play. There is a poetic softness to her, as though she knows what it is to be lost, and what it means to be found.   June is not suited for a home with cats, as her instincts to chase are strong. However, she would thrive in a peaceful home with a securely fenced yard—an open space where she can run with the elegance that seems to be written into her very soul.   To know June is to witness grace in motion. She is a loyal and loving companion, ready to offer her whole heart to the person who opens theirs in return.   If you feel called to give this extraordinary girl the forever home she so deserves, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Your life will be all the more beautiful for it.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.May 12, 2025, 10:08 pm

Story
Hello! Layla (Ladybug) is a beautiful, fun, cuddly, and active girl! Her birthday is December 12, 2023. We got Layla from a breeder and she does come with papers which I would have to find since we have moved and have not unpacked everything. Due to family medical bills we have not been able to get her to the Vet to keep her shots up to date. She is an indoor dog and potty trained. I am starting a second job soon and no longer have the time that this big girl deserves. Layla is great with kids and very playful! She is also good with cats and other dogs. She really needs a home with a family that has the time and energy to give to her that she deserves. I would like to see her go to a home with a fenced in yard so she can play outside.

These pups are in La Vergne, Tennessee too!

Story
Meet Dilbert, a 70-lb. Brindle Bucket of Beauty who firmly believes he’s a lap dog. This 2-year-old bundle of love was returned to us after a beloved BFDR Coordinator passed away, and now he’s on the hunt for his forever cuddle buddy. Once Dilbert decides you’re his person, prepare for a Stage 5 Clinger—personal space? Never heard of it. He’s housebroken, great with cats and other dogs, and will follow you around like a shadow (except when he’s busy being scared of his own). Bathroom breaks alone? Not a chance. Dilbert is a little wary of men, so he’ll need a female-only home or a super patient guy who understands "50 First Dates." He’s a backyard enthusiast who’d love a fenced yard, someone home more often than not, and a furry friend to romp with. Bonus Points: He walks on a leash like a total gentleman. He would prefer a home with kids well above the screechy stage (12+) or one that includes a sullen teenager or two. Ready to gain a best friend who’s equal parts sweet, silly, and slightly dramatic? Dilbert’s your guy! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/adopt/adoption-application/ then email Debbie@BigFluffyDogs.com. Our main website, www.bigfluffydogs.com has more information about us and the rescue process. NOTE TO EMAILERS FROM PETFINDER: WE DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL INQUIRIES WITHOUT AN APPLICATION. WE REGRET WE CANNOT RESPOND TO EVERY EMAIL, BUT UNLESS YOU FILL OUT AN APPLICATION, WE DO NOT KNOW YOU EXIST. All known information about an individual dog is provided in its listing. We do our best to provide accurate information, but adopters should understand that each home is different and the dog may behave differently in a new home. Dogs are creatures of their environment and you help make the dog what it will be. Homes considering adopting a puppy must be prepared for 1.) Flexible schedules for potty training. Puppies can only hold it for one hour per month of age (i.e. a 4-month-old puppy can only go 4 hours without a potty break). 2.) Crate training until the puppy is at least one year old to prevent chewing on inappropriate things when you can't supervise. 3.) Socialization. The more positive and varying experiences as a puppy the better, both in and out of your home. 4.) Puppy behavior and life stages are equivalent to a human toddler. It takes at least a full year to have a calmer, well-adjusted dog. Patience is required and when your dog's behavior is a positive experience for you and those around you, your patience will be rewarded ten-fold, for years to come. Please do not consider adopting a puppy if you have not thoroughly thought through the pros and cons of having one. So many people end up returning them after 3-5 months because they didn't realize the amount of work involved in raising a puppy. Patience, appropriate toys, socialization, and obedience training are all musts. All are time-consuming and can be expensive. All dogs require supervision with children and obedience training. Adopters that want to have good dogs must be prepared to put the time and effort into training a dog. Any dog requires work and effort, but a well trained, well-socialized dog is more than worth the effort to get them there.
