Story
My girlfriend, Jolene is the owner and loving provider for Hedwig. Jolene recently had back surgery and neck surgery. She thought she would be able to take care of Hedwig without any risk to her recovery. Recently, a neighbors dog was on our property and Jolene was faced with a situation of pulling Hedwig away from the other dog. The neighbors dog is about 10 year old female Blue Healer. Jolene was trying to prevent Hedwig (92lbs) from playing too rough and hurting her. In the process, Jolene compromised her recovery of neck and back. She did not want it to come to this and is very heart-broken to face the inevitable. Hedwig is a beautiful 2 year old female Great Dane / Mastiff. She is gentle, smart, loving, and playful. She is leash trained, and house trained but loves being outdoors. She can be energetic and playful, then be calm and peaceful. She will be greatly missed, but due to the medical situation of her owner, she knows it is necessary and the right decision.

Story
Watson is a full bred AKC registered Great Dane. He is nearly three, his welp date is 1-11-21. Watson has been raised with 4 children, a cat and a bearded dragon. He is not bad with children; he just isn't ideal with younger children. He is a very very anxious dog. He has been known to break out of multiple kennels. He often jumps our 8 foot fence. He will, during a thunderstorm, attempt to squeeze himself under our bed. He has been treated for his anxiety with trazadone, this did not work. We tried Acepromazine as well- he was allergic-his whole face swelled up; when given Benadryl he became destructive and more anxious. We have tried puzzles, CBD oil and treats, more activity etc. He is very difficult to redirect when outside; he doesn't follow any command unless he is inside. We have had many incidents of him pulling kids off of swings, four wheelers, tree house ladders etc. It never appears he is being aggressive but almost like he thinks he is saving them. He needs a calm place.
