Story
This is Texas! He loves to cuddle and to be the center of your attention. He likes to snooze on the couch! Will get the zoomies occasionally. He does need to be the only dog in the home. He’s comfortable with humans. Was used to be around a lot of people, but not other dogs. Needs a good patient family that is ready to be loved on.

Story
Meet Lucy!Lucy is an 8-year-old Great Dane with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. This beautiful senior girl is healthy, spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to spend her golden years with a family of her own.Lucy is house trained and has lovely manners around the home. She walks well on a leash and enjoys leisurely strolls with her people. At the end of the day, you`ll usually find her curled up on her favorite oversized dog bed—or, if she`s given the chance, cozied up on the couch right beside you.Like many Great Danes, Lucy is a true Velcro dog who loves being close to her people. She forms strong bonds and thrives on companionship, making her an ideal match for someone looking for a loyal and devoted best friend.Lucy tends to be more comfortable around women and may bark at men when first meeting them. She is not aggressive, and with patience, time, and positive introductions, she continues to build confidence and trust. She can be an only dog and would be perfectly content soaking up all the love and attention in her forever home. Lucy eats well using a slow feeder and is ready to trade foster life for a cozy couch and a family to call her own.If you`re looking for a calm, affectionate companion with a whole lot of love left to give, Lucy may be your perfect match. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Location: Fort Worth,TX (adoptable within 2-3 hours of Dallas/Fort Worth) DOB: 3/3/2025 Zero is a very sweet boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was diagnosed with microphthalmia, which has left him with very limited eyesight. Unfortunately, his condition is not correctable, but Zero doesn’t let that slow him down one bit. He approaches life with enthusiasm, confidence, and joy. This boy is loving, goofy, playful, and full of energy. Once he feels comfortable, he’s incredibly affectionate and loves giving kisses. He quickly bonded with his foster mom and initially cried when she left, even if foster dad was home. Over time, he has gained confidence and now does well when left behind, while still enjoying plenty of attention from both of his foster parents. He has an active, playful side, but when playtime is over, he’s happy to curl up and enjoy a long nap. Zero absolutely loves toys! Soft squeaky toys are a favorite, but balls are at the top of his list. He enjoys tossing them around, squeaking them, and shaking them with excitement. Best of all, he’s gentle with his toys and doesn’t try to destroy them—he simply loves to play. * Fully potty trained with no accidents in the house * Quickly learns and memorizes the layout of his environment * Uses a doggie door independently * Navigates his home confidently despite limited vision * Walks well on a leash * Crate trained and settles down quickly * Learning basic commands and doing well with “sit” * Can be left uncrated at night and sleeps peacefully * Cats? Unknown. * Kids? Zero would likely do well with children, but older children may be the best fit since his limited vision and playful nature could lead to accidental bumps during zoomies and playtime. At bedtime, Zero is happy sleeping on a dog bed or the couch, but if you’ll let him, he’d much rather snuggle up in bed with his family. Zero loves playing with his foster dog sibling. His play style is active and energetic—he enjoys running, pouncing, play-bowing, and gently grabbing feet during play. Because of his enthusiasm, he would thrive in a home with another playful dog, preferably one similar in size and energy level. While he enjoys having people around and would love a family where someone is home often, he has shown that he can stay home alone successfully. The Bottom Line: Zero may have limited eyesight, but he doesn’t see himself as different. He’s a happy, affectionate, playful dog who has adapted beautifully to the world around him. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a joyful spirit and a zest for life, Zero may be the perfect addition to your family. https://forms.gle/G2dJx2NV4JXZcZ9F6

Story
Location: Vernon,TX (adoptable within 2-3 hours of Dallas/Fort Worth) DOB: 7/15/2024 Meet Atlas — your future shadow, cuddle buddy, and adventure partner all rolled into one handsome package! At just 2 years old, Atlas is the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly couch potato. Want to spend the day binge-watching TV? Atlas is ready to curl up beside you. Looking for a buddy to run around and have fun with? He’s absolutely game for that too. His motto is basically: “Whatever you’re doing, I want to do it with you!” Atlas is a true VELCRO dog who loves being close to his people and soaking up all the attention he can get. He’s a happy, affectionate boy who aims to please and thrives on companionship. He gets along great with his foster siblings and enjoys being part of the pack. He’s met some kids and thinks they’re pretty great — especially because they tend to drop snacks and leave tasty crumbs behind! Atlas has lived with cats and considers them as his friends. Like any young dog, Atlas is still polishing a few skills. He’s working on his leash manners and learning that countertops are not self-serve buffets. But with consistency, patience, and a few treats, this eager-to-learn boy will continue to blossom. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you with his whole heart and happily stick by your side through every part of life, Atlas may just be your perfect match. https://forms.gle/G2dJx2NV4JXZcZ9F6
