Story
Meet Boone – A Gentle Soul Ready for a Fresh Start Boone is a striking Great Dane and Black Mouth Cur mix at 65 pounds with soulful eyes and a quiet, thoughtful demeanor. Rescued after being abandoned on the roadside, Boone's past suggests he was used as a hunting dog and likely spent much of his life confined to a kennel. This history has left him shy and cautious at first, but with time, patience, and kindness, Boone reveals his deeply affectionate side. Once he begins to trust, Boone becomes a devoted companion who craves gentle affection and enjoys peaceful moments with his person. He thrives in a calm environment and takes comfort in the presence of other dogs—he gets along wonderfully with canine companions and would benefit from a home with another friendly dog to help boost his confidence. Currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, Boone is looking for a foster or forever home in Central Texas only. He needs a loving, understanding family who can help him continue to blossom at his own pace. His ideal adopter would be someone familiar with hounds or someone who appreciates the gentle, loyal nature of these incredible breeds. If you're a hound enthusiast or simply someone with a kind heart and a quiet home, Boone may be the perfect match for you. He’s not just looking for a home—he’s looking for someone who sees his potential and will offer the love and patience he’s never known before. Boone is ready to start again. Story
Breaker is up for adoption in TX, NE and PNW (excluding MA)! Meet Breaker – Your Adventure Buddy in the Making! Breaker is a handsome Great Dane mix a little over a year old who is ready to find an active, committed family to call his own. At around 65 pounds, he’s a wonderful blend of big-dog presence and goofy puppy charm. Breaker is currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, but he can be transported to the Pacific Northwest and the Northeast United States for the right home. Breaker thrives on activity and he still has that classic puppy energy, so he’s looking for a family that understands the importance of positive correction, consistency, and continued training to help him grow into the best version of himself. With the right guidance, Breaker is eager to learn and please. One of Breaker’s favorite things in the world is going on adventures. He absolutely loves riding in the car and would be thrilled to tag along for hikes, outings, road trips, or any fun day spent exploring with his people. Water is another big favorite—splashing, wading, and cooling off are right up his alley. When playtime rolls around, Breaker is all in. He loves toys of all kinds and enjoys playing with dogs his own size. Most of all, Breaker wants to be with his people. He would happily spend the entire day with his family, whether that means being on the go or just hanging out together. If you’re an active household looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion to share life’s adventures, Breaker may be the perfect match for you. Story
Meet Watson—your future best friend, loyal companion, and the kind of dog who always seems like he’s one step away from solving the mystery of who’s going to throw the next ball. With his soft, light-colored coat, expressive eyes, and ever-wagging tail, Watson has a warm, inviting presence that makes it easy to fall for him. He has a friendly, attentive face that lights up when people approach, and he clearly loves being part of the action. Watson is a smart, engaged boy who already knows several commands including “sit,” “play nice,” and polite mealtime routines like sitting and waiting for “go ahead.” He even understands some Spanish cues, showing just how tuned in he is to his people. He enjoys sniffy walks where he can take in all the “clues” of the world, loves to run and play, and has a fun, goofy personality that makes him a joy to be around. Recently returned to us, Watson is settling back in and showing us exactly who he is—a loyal, affectionate dog who loves both activity and connection. Once he’s had his fill of adventure, he’s more than happy to curl up for cuddles with his favorite humans. Like a true Watson, he’s observant, clever, and always ready to be by your side—whether you’re solving the mysteries of the day or just enjoying a quiet moment together.

Story
With his uniquely handsome, scruffy wirehaired coat and gentle-giant stature, Smoothie King, affectionately known as Frazier to his foster family, is a sweet, Irish-Wolfhound / Lurcher mix (we think!) who is still growing into his big body. He is a total "cuddle puddle" and one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. A friend to all, he loves meeting other dogs but truly prefers the company of his humans. Lately, he’s been having a blast with his foster brother, a 7-month-old Goldendoodle named Felix. Whether they're running around the house, playing with toys, or taking naps together, Frazier is learning how to play again and growing more confident by the day. Frazier makes an excellent co-pilot for Austin adventures. He is amazing out and about—if you’re waiting in line at your favorite coffee shop, he’ll quietly sit at your feet or gently introduce himself to your line neighbors in exchange for a few scratches. At home, he’s a friendly shadow who will happily follow you from room to room. He has incredible recall, trotting over the moment you call him or dropping everything to run over for a hug if you get down on one knee. Frazier is also wonderfully conversational with a hilarious hint of drama! He’ll sit and listen to your day, let you know if you’re taking too long with his dinner, and let out a gentle "purr" when you find the exact right scratchy spot behind his ear. He’ll even match your tone, if you give him a light "ruff," he’ll gently "ruff" right back. It is seriously adorable. Because he is young and curious, he is still learning the ropes and testing a few boundaries. Fortunately, he is incredibly smart and eager to please. Motivated by love and treats, he mastered "sit" in just three minutes! He’s currently polishing his house manners and doing a fantastic job with potty training using hanging doorbells. Strong guidance and a regular schedule are all this sweet boy needs to thrive. His foster family is learning more about him every day and soaking up their time together until he finds his perfect fit. If you are looking for a loyal, deeply affectionate, and beautifully scruffy companion, Frazier is ready to fill your home with love.

Story
Meet Paquito - aka Paqui (pah-key)! Paqui is a beautiful, big Great Dane girlie who looks even more beautiful in real life. Though her foster parents haven’t had her long, they love how sweet, silly, and cuddly she is so far.Paqui loves toys! She’s gone through her toy bin and has picked up everything, running around the house squeaking them in her mouth. She will throw them up in the air then lunge onto the couch (though she’s so tall it doesn’t look like hard work at all). Paqui does not enjoy sharing toys with dogs though, so if she’s playing make sure the toys are for her only or that she’s separated!Paqui has some young dog energy and will occasionally get "slow zoomies". Because she's such a giant, her zoomies arein slow motion compared to a smaller dog, but she sure looks cute with her version of zoomies! She loves to make sure all her toys are still around after she's had the zooms, then proceeds to pass out on the couch once she's checked in with them all. While Paqui was in a room with a medium male dog at the shelter, she would do wonderfully without a friend too. She loves attention and as long as she gets a lot of love from you, she’d be set in an only-human home. She may prefer to play and eat independently, at least initially while she decompresses and learns to trust any dog siblings! If you do have another dog, her foster mom will set up a time to have a meet-and-greet for them both at the shelter to make sure it's a fit and that everyone gets along well!Paqui would be a wonderful companion for someone who has had experience with large dogs or someone who understands that there will be a LOOOOT of drool (it’s her love language). Because she’s big, she would love to have some space and a yard, but it's not a dealbreaker if you’re down to give her a lot of walks and play time so she can stretch her long legs! Please reach out if you want to meet her and get ready to fall in love with the sweetest giant! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Merle Weight: 105 Age: 3yrs 0mths 2wks
