Luna was found as a stray. She is microchipped. Owners were contacted and claim they had given her away to someone else, but refused to provide information. She is a Great Dane mix, approximately one year old, currently weighs 80 pounds but still needs to gain some weight. Luna is extremely sweet and loving to humans. She would be an amazing pet for someone looking for a canine companion to spend a lot of time with. We are currently fostering Luna and live on a small farm. She loves to run around and is good with the chickens, farm animals and our cat. She has not chewed anything or been destructive in any way. She gets along fine with our male Great Dane but has issues with our female. We have not seen her around children, but have noticed she has resource guarding issues -- food, toys, so would not recommend her for a household with small children or other dogs. She is such a sweet thing, we would keep her if not for issues with our female dog.

Pumbaa is a silly little man that loves to play outside. He enjoys ear scratches and lounging around his hoomans. His previous family consisted of 3 adults and 6 children of various ages. They noted that he is a good loyal dog and knows how to protect his pack. He lived in an apartment/condo situation that had access to a yard. He`s been known to avoid other dogs and cats inside the home. From his previous notes, observation with his previous family and foster, we believe he has potential to be properly introduced to and eventually live with children, other mellow and calm pets. Our shy man prefers a calm environment and doesn`t like sudden and loud changes around him. He has crate experience in his previous home. Pumbaa loves playing with squeaky toys (lamb chops). He was used to 3 walks a day and is considered a medium energy dog. Any potential foster and adopters should note to introduce new things slowly and follow the 333 rule.

And he`s a darn good dog friend too, he`s co-housing with a smaller lady that looks like a mini version of him. Duke arrived here after being found stray and his chip contact info went cold. We`re not sure what happened to his people but we know he`s ready for the best of the rest of his life...hurry in to meet him. He`s adovocated for by his friends at Classic Canines who help pave bridges home for mature dogs stuck in shelters.
