Story
The Most Gentle Soul - Meet Bug, a foster in desperate need of help.We are losing the battle to save this dog’s life.Bug is described by his foster family of a year as incredibly smart and gentle. He does well with other dogs, is calm and neutral with cattle around (no close contact, but we suspect he would do well). He is about 3 years old. Our family had him fixed. No resource guarding, not high energy at all (described as almost lazy, loves a good porch to lounge on, loves puzzles). He is not a runner. He is as sweet as cotton candy. Sleeps well alone overnight. Doesn't potty in his quiet room but is often outside so we don't know how compliant he would be without some guidance. Loves kids but overexcited. He is a really beautiful boy who was found in Newton several months ago. My family has been fostering him since, but our situation has become desperate and we cannot keep him any longer.

Story
Meet Mabel! Mabel is a big Great Dane girlie who looks even more beautiful in real life. She is sweet, silly, and cuddly - an incredibly loyal girl who just wants to love on you and sleep all day.Mabel loves toys! She’s gone through her toy bin and has picked up everything, trotting around the house squeaking them in her mouth. She will throw them up in the air then lunge onto the couch (though she’s so tall it doesn’t look like hard work at all). She does not enjoy sharing toys with dogs though, so if she’s playing make sure the toys are for her only!mabel has medium energy and will occasionally get "slow zoomies". Because she's such a giant, her zoomies are in slow motion compared to a smaller dog, but she sure looks cute with her version of zoomies! She loves to make sure all her toys are still around after she's had the zooms, then proceeds to pass out on the couch once she's checked in with them all.Mabel was in a room with a medium male dog at the shelter, but she would do wonderfully without a friend too. She loves attention and as long as she gets a lot of love from you, she’d be set in an only-human home. She prefers to play and eat independently, at least initially while she decompresses and learns to trust any dog siblings. Initially, she needs at least a couple of weeks before really meeting any dog friends. If you do have another dog, her foster mom will set up a time to have a meet-and-greet for them both at the shelter to make sure it's a fit and that everyone gets along well! That said, she seems to be curious about her cat sisters and likely will be good with cats (just needs slow exposure and maybe a confident cat!)Mabel would be a wonderful companion for someone who has had experience with large dogs or someone who understands that there will be a LOOOOT of drool (it’s her love language). Because she’s big, she would love to have some space and a yard, but it's not a dealbreaker if you’re down to give her a few walks and play time so she can stretch her long legs! Please reach out if you want to meet her and get ready to fall in love with the sweetest giant! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Merle Weight: 105 Age: 3yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Let me introduce myself!I'm Mila. I recently lost my home when my owner, who has had me since I was just a baby, had medical issues that caused her to not be able to take care of me. She's hoping that bringing me to the shelter can give me the life she wants me to have.Because I've been with my family my whole life, I'm a little nervous around new people but I warm up into a fantastic friend! I love getting pets from my friends!I know to go outside to use the bathroom, whether that is with walkies or in a backyard. When my family would leave the house, they would leave me out in the house where I could stretch my legs, and in return I kept the house nice and tidy.If you happen to be looking for a cuddle bug then you are in luck because I LOVE to cuddle! I used to sleep in my mom's bed all the time to keep her warm at night but I'm sure I can learn the ropes of a dog bed as well.Even though I'm a big dog, I'm totally fine with small walks and short stints outside, especially in the Texas heat!My mom was extremely heartbroken that she had to bring me to the shelter, but she said a really nice family would hopefully come get me soon and that I would have a fantastic life that every dog deserves. Can you be my new family?
