Story
Hi, My Name is Bella I am looking for my forever home, I am 15 months old and from a breeder in Ohio! At some point I moved to VA and my family couldn't have me anymore. I was taken in by my current foster who took me to the vet, I am up to date on my shots until my next round in November, I also got rid of those pesky worms that I had! Heart worm test was Negative (thank goodness!) and I will need a repeat just to be sure in November. I am fixed. I have put on some weight but I'm still small for my age coming in at 100lbs now. I can jump really high, so I will need a tall 6ft fence, I also do well on an electric fence collar. My foster family has taken me on long trips, I mostly just sleep. I've even been camping with them! I'm not a fan of small dogs/animals but as long as they leave me alone, I will ignore them. My foster family has 2 cats and another Great Dane. I would do better being an only dog, but I'm okay after slowly introducing others.

Story
Hi there! I'm Mountain, a playful pup with a heart full of love. I'm still young, but I'm going to be a big dog, just like my name suggests. I'm a bundle of energy, always ready to play and explore. My goofy antics will keep you laughing and my sweet nature will melt your heart. I'm loyal to a fault, always ready to stick by your side. I'm brave too, unafraid to face new adventures. Despite my size, I promise to be the gentlest giant you'll ever meet. If you're looking for a faithful friend who will bring joy, laughter, and endless loyalty to your life, I'm your guy. Adopt me and let's create unforgettable memories together.

Story
My name is Kobe and I am a purebred, neutered, 4 year old Harlequin Great Dane. I am on my second home after my first parents went through a divorce and could no longer care for me. I lived on a great big property with a lot of space to run around on and not much noise from nearby roads. I now live in a noisy neighborhood with another Great Dane that I have accepted in to my life, but the noises and frequent passerbys are not my favorite. I get along well with my adopted brother, but other dogs make me anxious and I do not respond kindly to them. I would enjoy being back on a spacious property, ideally by myself and one that is much quieter than where I am now. I love my owners very much and they refer to me as a velcro dog. I love to run and am a high energy Dane, but still a goofy boy who loves to sleep after exercise. I have lived with cats my entire life and get along well enough with them. I hopebto find new owners who will love me just as much but in a more comfortable area.

Story
Tall Titan, is a strong and remarkable  Warrior, a dog that has fought to be alive and walking  today on this earth.  He has willed himself to come from the depths of pain and starvation to become this handsome boy that you see right now.  He is our Super Hero Pup and our example of a creature that has never given up even when it would have been easier to just go to sleep and never wake up.  When Titan came to a rescue lady’s house that Critter Cavalry knows, this boy was malnourished and just a skeleton of the puppy he should be as a Great Dane.  The lady has a love for the Danes and she asked CCR to please take him into our rescue before she fell in love and couldn’t let him go.  She had enough dogs and just felt the temptation to keep him was too great.  We agreed and soon Titan was ours to raise and get prepped for a new home and family.  Shortly afterwards his foster family noticed he was struggling to walk and his joints were inflamed. Titan was taken to several vets before receiving the diagnosis of  Hypertrophic osteodystrophy (HOD). He has been put on a regimen of medications, high calorie food and hydrotherapy and is now running, jumping and playing with other dogs. His favorite things to do are play with toys, run and nap in the sun. Titan is a large dog and will do best in a home with another large dog or two that he will be able to play with. He will continue to need medication intermittently for some time and to be followed by a veterinarian.  If you have large breed dog experience and are willing to take on this fellas special needs please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue. He is not house trained to hold longer than 4 hours.  He needs to eat separately at mealtimes and he needs to learn better how to play with his toys in a group setting if there are other dogs.  If he is the only dog then there is no special monitoring.  Titan rides like a champ in the car or truck and he is definitely crate trained with good dog/name recall.  He would be easier to watch in the yard if you had a real physical fence installed since he likes to wander off out of curiosity.   Please email Critter Cavalry at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  He is great with young children/boys that are rough and tumble and lots of noise. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
When we say ASH is a BIG PUPPY, we mean ASH is a BIG PUPPY! At only 11 months old, he jumps in excitement…all 83 pounds of him! With those Great Dane long legs, he can jump pretty high. He has a grayish/white/silver color, sits so pretty and has a great smile. He is house trained, crate trained and very playful but he may not realize how big he is so normal play may seem rough. Ash's family was moving and could not take him along so he now sits and waits in a cage. Sigh.   *Ash is dog social.   *Ash can be rough and growly with young children, especially when he is in a crate so we are recommending older or no kids.    *Ash loves to go for walks.   *Ash is still a puppy so training, training, and more training will help Ash overcome many of his puppy behaviors, even the reactivity from within his crate. He is, however, a quick learner.   *Ash is currently in a back kennel so if you don't see him, please just ask!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 12:48 pm
