Story
Hey everyone! My name is Cleo and I am looking for my forever home. I like some animals, but would do best in a home with no other pets. I do not like to share my toys or food with other animals (that's probably from the plot hound in me!) I know I am a taller girl, but I still love to just cuddle up and be with my family. I LOVE going for long walks, hiking in the woods is the BEST! I also enjoy playing fetch and giving hugs. I am pretty insecure, so I really need someone that has the time to show me I am safe and not coming back to the shelter. I love the shelter staff, but I do not like the loud barking from the other dogs - it really scares me. I give hugs as a way to seek comfort, reassurance, and get a sense of safety from you. I am spayed and up to date on my vaccinations.  I will make a lovely companion and a great addition to any family. I need a home with older kids over the age of 13.  January 14, 2026, 4:53 pm

Meet Remington 💙 1.5-year-old Blue Merle Great Dane | Male | ~120 lbs Remington is a big, beautiful, happy-go-lucky Great Dane who’s ready to finally enjoy life the way a young Dane should. With his stunning blue merle coat and joyful personality, he’s the kind of dog who makes people smile the moment they meet him. True to his age, Remington is playful, curious, and full of enthusiasm. He loves attention, seeks out affection, and is always eager to be part of whatever his people are doing. He’s a friendly, social boy who enjoys meeting new people and soaks up praise like a sponge. If you’re looking for a Dane who wants to be with you — not just near you — Remington fits the bill. Remington has done well around other dogs and enjoys playful interactions, especially with dogs who match his youthful energy. He doesn’t show possessive behavior with toys or treats and prefers positive, structured environments where everyone can relax and enjoy each other. Like many young dogs, he’s still learning the ropes and benefits from clear routines and gentle guidance. Because Remington didn’t always get the consistency and engagement every growing Dane deserves, he’s now getting the chance to truly shine. With regular meals, attention, and daily interaction, he’s already showing how much potential he has. He’s the kind of dog who will thrive as he continues to gain strength, confidence, and stability — and watching that transformation is incredibly rewarding. Remington would love a home that: Enjoys an affectionate, people-oriented Great Dane Can provide daily companionship, exercise, and basic training Appreciates a dog who is still very much in his “young and goofy” phase Does not have free-roaming poultry (he has shown interest in chickens) Remington is a sweet, fun-loving Dane who simply needed a chance to be more than a background dog. Now that he has it, he’s ready to give his whole heart to a family of his own. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a playful companion, and a Dane who’s excited to finally be included, Remington may be your perfect match. Story
Meet Wilbur – The World’s Biggest Lap Dog 🖤 Wilbur is a young, affectionate Great Dane with a heart as big as his paws. At approximately 1.5–2 years old, this gentle giant is happiest when he’s close to his people—especially lounging on the couch with his big head resting right in your lap. Wilbur is incredibly sweet, friendly, and thrives on companionship. He adores children and does very well with other dogs, particularly playful, younger dogs who enjoy an energetic playmate. While he could be an only dog, Wilbur truly shines in a home where he can enjoy regular playtime and interaction. Training & Personality Wilbur has a great foundation and continues to learn every day. He knows sit and stay, is currently working on leave it, responds well to his name, has fairly good recall, and walks nicely on a leash. He’s eager to please and benefits from consistent structure and engagement. Like many young dogs, Wilbur loves to chew and play. He will need plenty of appropriate toys—both soft and durable—to keep him entertained and to help ensure he doesn’t turn household items into chew toys. A Few Things to Know Wilbur can be sensitive to very loud noises such as fireworks, or intense thunderstorms, so a calm, reassuring home during those times will help him feel safe and secure. Wilbur’s Ideal Home Wilbur is looking for a loving family who understands large breeds, enjoys a playful yet cuddly companion, and doesn’t mind sharing their couch—or their lap. A home that values both activity and downtime will help Wilbur thrive. In return, Wilbur offers unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and the kind of love only a Great Dane can give. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be part of your world, Wilbur may be the perfect match. Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption. Story
Meet Charlotte! 🐾 Charlotte is a beautiful one-year-old Great Dane who is still growing into her big paws—and her even bigger heart. This sweet girl is full of energy, love, and personality. She’s always happy to make new friends, whether they have two legs or four. Charlotte does great with other dogs and is good with cats, making her a wonderful fit for a multi-pet household. Found together with her brother Wilbur on a pig farm, Charlotte has been through a lot and is ready for her forever home. Found utterly emaciated, they were turned over to animal control and then to a humane society and finally to us. They were taking care of each other and keeping each other alive; thus the people that owned the pig farm gave them their names based on the beloved children's story, Charlotte's Web. Charlotte is fully house trained and is doing very well learning to walk on a leash. She’s eager to learn and improving every day with consistent guidance. While she has a playful, energetic side, she’s also incredibly affectionate and enjoys spending time with her people. She has done great with kids ages 12 and older. Although she hasn’t been tested with younger children yet, her sweet nature shines through, and she would do best in a home that understands her size and puppy-like energy as she continues to grow. If you’re looking for a loving, gentle giant in the making who will bring joy, fun, and plenty of cuddles into your home, Charlotte may be your perfect match! If you are interested in Charlotte, Wilbur, or both Charlotte and Wilbur, as they love each other so, please contact us so we can help them find the forever home they deserve.
