PUNKY!!! Punky, a young adult Great Pyrenees, was found emaciated in a field caring for her large litter of puppies. Her puppies are all thriving in their foster homes, and now, so too is Punky. She is steadily gaining much-needed weight. Her name is deceiving. Far from being a punk, she is cautious with people she doesn’t know, and even shy around new dogs to whom she is slowly introduced. Once her trust is earned, though, she becomes quite loving. Cuddling, hugs, slow brushing are activities she greatly enjoys. She is very sensitive to raised voices or a lot of chaos, so a quieter, calmer environment would best suit this gentle soul who is learning that people can be trusted for the long haul. Greek Mythology aside, I am the BEST of the BEST :) This is what my friends say about me, "Zeus is a calm guy good with all people & no issues with dogs. Good on leash & crate trained. Zeus is a typical pyr good with any family and a great couch potato. Lives attention & pets" So I may be a Greek God (or TWO) but i have simple needs, a nice family, who loves my soft, fluffy breed, another doggy friend (or not) and a great vacuum cleaner! Apollo is great with dogs & loves people. He's a typical pyr who likes to play but is just as content being a couch potato. Apollo requires a tall, secure wood fence. He sails over a 4 ft fence & climbs anything taller if its a wire fence. He's very intent on seeing what's on the other side or visiting the other side :) You can't blame him, he is named after the Greek God for healing or all the spaceships we have sent into space???
