Story
Hi, I’m Cooper! I’m a 2 year old 60lb Great Pyrenees mix. My foster says I am the definition of a gentle giant! I’m perfectly crate trained, potty trained, & pretty good on a leash (I sometimes need help not going after bunnies, squirrels, birds, & other little nature animals. I want to play with them so bad!). I like being given time to sniff on my walks as well. I’m silent 95% of the time, but do bark at other doggies occasionally. I also do great in the car, but I do get carsick. I LOVE snuggling with my people & getting scratches, those are my most favorite things! I’m the perfect mix of affectionate & independant. I absolutely adore trusted humans! I’m almost always trying to cuddle with my foster & she says it’s so sweet. I’m great with other dogs after having slow introductions to them in a larger space, like a yard (speaking of yards - I’m big, but am able to have a standard 4ft fence rather than a 6ft fence if needed!). I think that I would do best with respectful medium & large dogs. I am NOT able to live with kitties or free range little pets (guinea pigs, rats, mice, ferrets, etc) as they make me too excited & I don’t want to accidentally hurt them. I have excellent manners, just please put all the food away because it tempts me too much! I sometimes get nervous, especially with loud noises, so I need someone who will patiently help me know that everything is okay. I have the slightest underbite & my foster said it’s so goofy & cute! I also would love being in a home where I can snuggle on beds & couches. If all of this works for you & you are gentle, affectionate, patient, & devoted to giving me lots of loving attention, please adopt me!!! ##2319550##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bonded Pair.Haley and Heidi are a bonded pair. Please see the separate profile for Heidi. They are not true sisters but are very close in age. Heidi is almost 8 yo and Haley is 8 yo. They have recently been returned through no fault of their own. Owner is renovating his house to live in the basement and the dogs do not do well on the stairs. This beautiful bonded pair is looking for a home where they live on one floor with the family and would not have to use stairs. The one request asked of Pyrescue was to PLEASE keep them together. They are wonderful dogs, friendly, social, good with kids, cats, other dogs, love car rides, love new adventures and want to stay together. This bonded pair is special and deserve to have a happy home. Both girls are known escape artists, they will dig under the fence to go on a walk about, therefore, they will need a home with a yard and above ground fencing preferably 6 foot Their normal adoption fee is $200 per dog but we will be adopting them out for $200 total for both dogs They will need a home with a yard and above ground fencing preferably 6 foot NO APARTMENTS, CONDOS OR DUPLEXES  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 5, 2025, 10:23 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Hi, my name is Gringo and I’m desperately looking for a loving home. PYRescue is closing and I am so scared that I won’t find a home before they close. I am a little bit older but you wouldn’t know it because I am energetic, I like to hike/walk and run around with YOU. Also, I am very affectionate and love treats. In fact, one of the volunteers sends me to my bed before I get a treat because I can be a little pushy about it. I can be intimidating because of my bark, my size and yes, I can be protective of my family but I’m such a cuddle/snuggle buddy when I get to know my people. Please come, meet me, and take me away!   Gringo needs a yard with above ground fencing, preferably 6 foot  NO UNDERGROUND FENCING! NO APARTMENTS, CONDOS OR TOWNHOMES    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 5, 2025, 2:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, I am Camo, a big (145 lbs) handsome teddy bear. I love to cuddle and sit on people’s lap. The volunteers all love me because I am very sweet, adorable, affectionate and goofy.   I like kids but because of my size it would be best if they are a little older.   I was adopted as a puppy but returned due to some resource guarding which can easily be addressed with training. Being returned has been very sad for me because I don’t understand why I was left behind at the rescue.   Please come to visit me and see for yourself what a big, cute teddy bear I am.i just want to be your buddy, will you be the one to give me a forever home?    His adoption fee is $300 A BIG 6 FOOT FENCED YARD/PROPERTY FOR CAMO IS A MUST. NO UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC FENCING! NO APARTMENTS, CONDOS, TOWNHOMES OR DUPLEXESVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 6, 2025, 3:57 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Margo and all I want is a home where I will be loved especially after all I went through. I was found along a TX highway, abandoned with my litter of 8 puppies. When I was transferred (flown) to the rescue, they helped me to take care of my babies as well as myself. My babies were all adopted and here I am feeling left behind.   Because of the hard life I endured before I was rescued, I was not very trusting at first but have come a long way with the help and patience of all the wonderful people at Pyrescue Now I am playful, energetic, like belly rubs and long walks/hikes with the volunteers. I might need a little time to bond with my new family after all I’ve been through.  Could you find it in your heart to give me a home for the first time in my life? I am dreaming of a loving home with people who have the patience to work with me to gain my trust again. I might have to be the only dog in the house though.   I didn’t mention that I am a quite beautiful girl, just look at my eyes. Please come and meet me!   Margo's adoption fee is $300.00 I WILL NEED A YARD WITH ABOVE GROUND FENCING, PREFERABLY 6 FOOT            NO UNDERGROUND FENCING NO APARTMENTS, TOWNHOMES, CONDOS OR DUPLEXESVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 7, 2025, 3:26 pm
